This past weekend, 20 Youth Ambassadors and 4 Two Feathers staff traveled to Redding for a weekend full of culture, connection, and new experiences!

🎓 On Friday, our youth toured Shasta College, where they had the opportunity to explore the campus and learn about different programs and educational opportunities available to them.

🪶 Saturday was spent exploring Redding and attending the Stillwater Powwow. Our Youth Ambassadors had the honor of participating in Grand Entry, and we were especially proud to see two of our Youth Ambassadors enter the circle and dance—one in Jingle Dress and one in Traditional.

Trips like this give our youth opportunities to experience new places, explore possibilities for their futures, strengthen connections with one another, and participate in cultural spaces together.

We are so proud of our Youth Ambassadors for representing Two Feathers and their communities! ❤️🪶

Through conversations and activities, participants will explore:

🎯 Personal goals, values, and finding your purpose

This group is open to Native youth ages 13–18, whether you currently use substances or not! Everyone is welcome!

🌿 Substance Use Counseling Services for Youth

Two Feathers offers individual substance use counseling for youth who may benefit from early intervention, support with reducing substance use, or relapse prevention.

In addition to Yvonne Ferris, we are excited to welcome Kori Stiles as an additional Substance Use Counselor! Kori is a Registered Addiction Counselor Intern working toward certification and brings previous experience supporting clients at Waterfront Recovery Services.

Youth can receive:
• Weekly 1:1 substance use counseling
• Individualized support and goal setting
• Early intervention and relapse prevention support
• Referrals to higher levels of treatment when needed
• Case management and connection to additional resources

💛 Our goal is to provide youth with a supportive, nonjudgmental space to talk about substance use and get help that meets them where they are.

🎨 Native Youth Art Exhibition: Resilience & Resistance

Join us during Arts Alive to experience powerful, one-of-a-kind artwork created by our Youth Ambassadors!

Our youth began these pieces at our Fall Summit, exploring what resilience and resistance mean to them and their communities. Through their art, they will also help raise awareness about Missing and Murdered Indigenous People (MMIP) and share messages of strength, safety, and resilience.

📍 Clarke Historical Museum

✨ Come support Native youth, experience their art, and help us raise awareness about MMIP.

Refreshments will be available, with donations accepted to support the Eureka High School Native American Club.
