After a long conversation with someone I truly admire — and a little encouragement — I made a big decision. I realized I didn’t want to wait another year, and I didn’t want to walk away from something I love. So on Wednesday, I decided to compete in Miss Humboldt Volunteer Teen.
When I told my mom, she was in complete shock — we had already packed everything away! (She even had to make me new earrings just for today.) Despite a hectic schedule — her leaving for work at 7 a.m., my cheer camp until noon, and Kingston’s basketball game — she still got me ready and got us to Humboldt just in time for my 1:46 p.m. interview. We arrived at 1:32!
My momma and my Meme always go above and beyond to support me and make sure I can pursue my dreams, and I am so grateful for them.
I am beyond humbled to be crowned your new Miss Springtime Volunteer — and honored to also receive Best Interview! I am so excited for this year ahead with my beautiful sister queens.
If I could share one message with anyone reading this, it would be: never stop believing in yourself. Things change, people change — but if you stay true to who you are, you will always come out stronger. 🤍
