Tomorrow is National Trails Day, and there’s no better place to celebrate than the Great Allegheny Passage!

Each year, National Trails Day is organized by the American Hiking Society to encourage people across the country to get outside and enjoy the incredible trail systems that connect our communities, support local economies, and inspire adventure.

Whether you’re biking, walking, running, birdwatching, or simply enjoying the scenery, we invite you to spend some time on the GAP and experience all 150 miles of trail magic between Pittsburgh and Cumberland.

As you enjoy the day, be sure to thank the volunteers, trail managers, partners, and supporters who help keep the GAP welcoming and accessible for everyone. Make a donation to your local trail group or pitch in – details here: https://gaptrail.org/support-the-gap/volunteer

Happy National Trails Day from all of us at the Great Allegheny Passage Conservancy!

We've had a slide about half way between Sutersville and Smithdale, GAP 117. It is passable by walking bikes through the grass. Trail users should use caution in this area. MYTC maintenance volunteers are working on a cleanup plan, possibly Saturday.
If you, or anyone you know, is interested in volunteering; we meet at 8am at Mon Yough Trail Council's maintenance building. The address is 7 Locust Grove Road, in Greenock, PA.
Thanks
