Brought on by Pittsburgh Area Community Schools and under Cure Violence Global, we work to interrupt violence, mediate conflicts, and empower our community in McKees Rocks to build a safer future. Operating under the Cure Violence Global model, our team, led by Mike Mott, is dedicated to reducing violence in McKees Rocks through community engagement, conflict interruption, and long-term support. Brought on by Pittsburgh Area Community Schools to bring this proven approach to McKees Rocks, our team is a trusted presence in the community, committed to making a difference every day. What We Do:
🌟 Community Connections: We show up at local events, schools, and neighborhoods to engage with students, families, and residents. To build trust, raise awareness, and share resources that empower our community.

🛑 Violence Prevention: Our team steps in early to interrupt potential conflicts before they escalate. By focusing on behavior change and creating positive connections, we help redefine community norms.

🤝 Respectful Outreach: Using a trauma-informed and culturally-sensitive approach, we work closely with those at the highest risk, ensuring every interaction is meaningful and impactful.

📢 Connecting Resources: We go beyond conversation by linking people to life-changing services like job training, counseling, and other support to help them make positive choices.

🚨 Crisis Response: In the event of violence, we act quickly to cool things down and prevent further escalation. From mediation to ongoing support, we’re there to help.
