Support Career and Technical Education at Jackson County Area Technology Center

The Jackson County Area Technology Center (ATC) is currently accepting donations of materials, equipment, and usable items to support hands-on learning opportunities for our students.

Our programs provide students with valuable career and technical skills that prepare them for employment, industry certifications, postsecondary education, and successful careers. Donations from local businesses, community members, organizations, and individuals help us provide students with authentic, hands-on experiences while allowing them to work with the types of materials, tools, and equipment they may encounter in the workforce.

Donations made to the Jackson County Area Technology Center are tax deductible.

Items We Accept

We are currently accepting a variety of items, including:

- Vehicles – cars, trucks, and other vehicles that can be used for automotive instruction and hands-on training
- Tools – hand tools, power tools, shop equipment, and other tools suitable for instructional use
- Lawn Mowers and outdoor power equipment – riding and push mowers, w**d eaters, blowers, and related equipment
- Pressure washers and related equipment
- Lumber – new or used dimensional lumber, plywood, boards, and other usable building materials
- Pallets – wooden pallets that can be used for construction, carpentry projects, and student activities
- Metal – scrap metal, sheet metal, tubing, pipe, and other usable metal materials for welding and fabrication projects
- Automotive parts and equipment
- Construction and carpentry materials
- Other usable tools, equipment, supplies, and materials that may benefit our career and technical education programs

Donated items may be used directly in student instruction, hands-on projects, demonstrations, practice activities, and program-related training. Materials that might otherwise be discarded can provide students with valuable opportunities to learn, build, repair, create, and develop real-world skills.

By donating tools, equipment, materials, or other usable items, you are helping our students gain practical experience and develop skills that can lead to industry certifications, employment opportunities, and continued education.

Mr. Maupin’s Carpentry classes constructed parking barriers for Tyner Elementary and Jackson County Middle School. We appreciate being able to partner with the schools in our district to provide hands-on learning opportunities for our students.
