Thank you for coming to reconnect with the places and people, and the spirit of this town we love.

The smiles from the Grand Marshals, the appreciation you showed for our inaugural Heart of McIntosh recipients, both familiar and unexpected stories coming to life throughout the weekend…these are the kinds of things that can’t be manufactured.

They happen because a community loves to gather and remember. This is McIntosh!

Here are your parade winners and honorees.

Each award comes with a $50 prize. I will coordinate with MSL and First National Bank of McIntosh, but will someone please let me know the person to coordinate with for the class of 1979.

We will have at least one more post of highlights and to say thank you to everyone who helped.

I bet you thought we were done with you, huh?

Not quite! We’ll be doing a wrap post very soon to announce the parade winners!

We did our best to generate interest for a formal car show. We simply fell short.

With such a limited number of participants and because there was no entry fee, there was no judging for prizes.

To the owners who brought cars—thank you so much for coming. We hope you enjoyed your time with us. We certainly enjoyed having you!

Thank you to everyone who came out for the Community Church Service this morning. It was great to see so many of you join us!

Thanks Pam Aanenson, for your lovely opening prayer and for your very own Waffle House Song.

To Pastor Moan, thank you for your closing prayer as we said so long to family and friends who came home to celebrate the USA’s 250th Birthday with us.

Thank you to Pastor Jerry Moan, Ben Ramse, Dylan Roy, Val Brekke, and Betty Tangen, for sharing a reading.

The Community Church Service starts at 9:30 this morning at Roholt Park.

We’ve had an awesome celebration this weekend.

Come gather with us this morning in a service of readings and song as we bid farewell to family and friends who came to share in our country’s 250th birthday celebration.

Don’t forget a lawn chair and your tumbler (or bottle)of water to stay hydrated.

See you at 9:30 today!

What’s your super power?! We hope it’s volunteering!

We’re looking for volunteers to help with the pancake breakfast, Saturday July 4th, from 7:30 to 9:30 am.

Curt Bartz will be there to lead us, but help is needed to flip pancakes and serve.

Help keep our griddles turning out fuel for the day’s activities.
