Garrett Trails

Garrett Trails Creating awareness of trails in Garrett County, MD, including the Eastern Continental Divide Loop.

We were organized in 1999 as a Garrett County Board of Commissioners' task force. In 2008, Garrett Trails was founded as a non-profit, 501 (c) 3 organization. In 2011, Garrett Trails finalized a study for the Eastern Continental Divide Loop, a 150-mile comprehensive trail within Garrett County that connects to the Greater Allegany Passage (GAP) from Pittsburgh, PA to D.C.

📰: Maryland State Trails Open to Pedal-Assist E-Bikes

The Maryland Department of Natural Resources has approved new regulations to allow some pedal-assist e-bikes on multi-use trails on public lands across the state.
