McGregor ISD Education Foundation 501 (c)(3) The foundation is a separate legal entity and is governed by state and federal law separate from the school district.

The McGregor ISD Education Foundation is deeply committed to partnering with parents, teachers and the community to support and enhance the education of all McGregor ISD students. The foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that is governed by a volunteer board directors representing a cross-section of citizens who are dedicated to education and share a vision for excellence in our schools.

Bruiser is standing on a tree lined road in the McGregor Cemetery, which is beautifully maintained by the City of McGregor. Many years ago, the McGregor Garden Club planted many of the large trees now gracefully shading the location.

The Bulldog Beat: Alumni Edition ... and Where Are They Now

Crystal Crawford Weidner, winner of a recent MISD Education Foundation “Where’s Bruiser” contest, is shown retrieving her prize at McGregor’s McGinley Memorial Library which is celebrating its 40th anniversary this month.

Crystal is a 1998 graduate of McGregor High School. She lives in McGregor with her husband Randall and their children. Her favorite teachers in school were Lorna Hering, Claudia Parrott and Lisa Hall. Crystal says that Equine Science, Anatomy and Physiology were her favorite classes while in school.

When you donate to the MISD Education Foundation, our kids - the McGregor students -as well as the faculty and McGregor schools are the real winners in this competition.

These funds are used to inspire students through innovative teaching tools and to empower teachers through development and training.

The McGregor Education Foundation recently presented the Officers of McGregor Pups PTA with Bulldog Mom bags for all the hard work, heart, and creativity they brought to supporting the teachers and staff at both the Elementary and Primary campuses. The top 10 percent of McGregor High School’s Class of 2026 and the teachers who most impacted their lives were honored by the McGregor ISD Education Foundation last week. This was the Foundation’s first annual Legacy Dinner. This special evening was made possible by its presenting sponsor Pakis, Giotes, Burleson and Deasoncon law firm.Foundation president Terry Arp opened the evening by welcoming the honored guests, before they enjoyed a lasagna dinner catered by Diamondbacks. Following the meal, each of the 11 students and their special teachers were recognized through a special film created by 360 Solutions, where each student told why they chose their educator.

Jimmy Hering of Pakis, Giotes, Burleson, and Deasonson law firm began the video by congratulating those being honored. Board members presented a special gift to each honor student as they exited the stage. The students presented their teacher with a special gift, and the teachers also received gifts from the Education Foundation.

The students and teachers honored included Jorge Cortez Ortuno—Madison Bishop, Daisy Jaimes Benitez—Joseph Edwards, Chase Lillard—Barbara Morgan, Bryce Ocampo—Landi Haynes, Kylie Paschall—Lorna Hering, Khloe Peterson—Bryan Bowling, Javier Rebollar-Hernandez—MaryEllen Maddox, Jacob Skipper—Darlene Arp, Bryan Suarez—Zachary Stumbaugh, Bubba Zacharias—Moe Hilliard, and Araya Bourgegios—Suzie McMillan.The Foundation would like to thank Senior Sponsor Jennifer Millsap for helping coordinate the student and teacher information.MISD Education Foundation board members include Terry Arp, Ottis Foster, Terry Sloan, Tom Kirk, Christy Leos, Cathy Anderson, Becky Clarkson, April Rosier, Brady King, Peyton Fisk, Celeste Fisk, Skylar Allison, Susie Hernandez, and Laree Walker.
