MLB Constitution Reform Delegation Community Engagement Meeting — District IIa
The Mille Lacs Band Constitution Reform Delegation invites Band members to attend an upcoming community engagement meeting to help begin the drafting process for a Band-specific constitution that reflects the priorities, values, and voices of Mille Lacs Band members today.
A draft constitution was first developed in 2010 following extensive work and input from Band members. Delegates are now using that work as a starting point while gathering new feedback from communities across the districts and the Urban Area.
Through community engagement meetings, drafting sessions, and surveys, Band members are encouraged to share their ideas about what should be included in a future Mille Lacs Band constitution. Youth participation is also being encouraged to help ensure the voices of future generations are part of the process.
Band members can participate by attending meetings, completing surveys, or speaking directly with a delegate. Your voice matters in helping shape the future of Band governance and sovereignty.
