Rockin' Country Christian Ministries’ Outreach & Relief Efforts

Rockin' Country Christian Ministries’ Outreach & Relief Efforts Every RCCM involved relief mission, and every cent donated to such; will be detailed here, coordinated here, and RCCM has a strictly volunteer workforce.

10/17/2017

I got a PM, this evening, asking, “How come your FB Group has so few members, yet you post as if you’re reaching 1000s?”

1: RCCM is a fully open Group, meaning that only I, and my lay pastors, can see the “traffic numbers”.

2: I alone add/approve membership requests. Only those that are either; those that freely give and/or donate regularly, or are members of one of a RCCM team are approved.

3: Those, whom are one of the other have fund allocation votes, equal to my own.

4: I only recently shutdown the RCCM website, so that I no longer was using my own funds, to keep it up & runnin’, that needed to go toward our walk, works, and most recently, the Hurricane Harvey relief fund.

So, if anyone else is concerned, about why their request was denied, there y’all have it. If you want “a seat @ our RCCM table”, as a member, take action! I refuse to solicit donations, “pass the proverbial hat around”...

Unless there’s a local, or well vetted charity case further than I, or a lay pastor, can physically meet the soul or family, in need, I do not post our Paypal email, or send a donor my own address.

Just as my newest cards make crystal clear, “NOTE: Any and all true charity, be it physical works or donations, are given, or shared, by an individual’s FAITH, not by anyone gathering them “hat in hand” style.

Most recent example, Fox News Channel’s camera caught me, my kids’ soft-side Radio Flyer wagon, walking the Bayside, TX’s mass exodus’ gas line, at the Katy, TX’s Buc-ee’s, passing out ice cold waters to those lined up, for over a 1/2 mile from the pumps. The on-site reporter took down my number, from the side of RCCM’s rolling billboard. Within hours, of my declining their “in the moment” interview, a FNC producer was calling me, asking if I could find my way to the local, powered Fox station, to on the following day’s shows. I felt it could make me forfeit my walk & works, regardless of only God knows how much our donations massive influx, just from that Sunday’s exposure could have been. It felt, continues to feel far too much like a self-glorifying act. So, even though RCCM’s means would have far outweighed our abilities, I still feel like we had, are doing what we can, regardless of fund issues.

This is an opportunity to put our Paypal info out there, with my heartstrings not being shredded, because we are sidelined, from a total lack of donations:

Paypal: [email protected]

PS: Because I refuse to jump through a single “501C3 hoop”, RCCM is a NOT FOR PROFIT, not a full out “Nonprofit”. I personally pay any taxes, each year, on anything I cannot “hard copy prove” exactly where the donation moneys have gone. In the “Note” section, before you send a donation, if you want you hard earned money, to go to a specific case/cause, please do so.

I do, among the donors only, share exactly where funds were allocated, and once you’re a donor, anything outside our Harvey efforts, you become a voter, as for our “true, individual charity”.

Example:

•Just prior to Hurricane Harvey, I was contacted by an indigent family, from Mart, TX. Someone had stolen their A/C condenser, while it was still a high of 97+, every single day. After first calling Falls County Sheriffs’ Department, to verify that they had filed the thief, I drove to Mart, to meet the Williams Family, and make sure their home insurance hadn’t, wouldn’t cover a new one. Even though we’d had a very lean amount in the Paypal, and my wife & I knew it was going to be our own money, that would buy it, I still put it to a vote. Then, and only then, did I go buy & install them a new, proper size condenser. Since then, that family has donated, via check, more than half, of what has been given, to RCCM, in any fashion.

That’s exactly what happens, nearly each time someone, or a family, is on the receiving end of our TRUE CHARITY. Never, do we consider “hand outs”, yet we do investigate every case, that seems to be from ones asking for a “hand up”.

So, given that since Amanda & I have exhausted our own nest egg, self-funding now five Harvey missions, without putting it out there, that the RCCM funding is bone dry, and it is going to take Southeast Texans a decade to be made whole again, I’m going to ask that everyone freely give, whatever amount God places on your individual hearts.

Know that RCCM places 100%, of your money, “into the field”. My own means cover all the fuel, and we’ve got 100s over volunteers, simply waiting for Harvey M6, to have the funds, to run our Soup Kitchen, purchase more medical supplies, and yes, my largest backhoe must have a refurbished hydraulic pump, before we return to the Ingleside/Rockport peninsula.

Thank y’all, God bless y’all, and let’s all pull together, which does mean cease to give everything you can, to your church’s Harvey Fund. Fact is; your Elders, Vestry members, Deacons, etc, take that donation, lump it all together, and send it to the “Big Box, CEO having *charities*”, that I promise y’all, are not anywhere to be found, unless FEMA is there, and that requires our oil & gas infrastructure to be affected...

😇❤️🙏🏻👊🏻😡😪😜😝😂👍🏻

10/12/2017

Well y’all, there’s always a first time for everything.

That now includes an alert, for this Page: “It has been a week, since RCCM-HDRE had a new Like! _____ blah, blah, if you’ll pony up some money, we’ll Promote your Page....”

RCCM has zero shortage of volunteer offers, and desperate Texans seeking us out. Yet, sadly I have to tell them we’ve 300-400% more “lip service” cases, “How can we send y’all help, since we cannot physically go?”

My humble replies, “Donate, as you & yours feel compelled, so we can make any partial or full mission to SETX”... *crickets*

Nuff said.

*If this doesn't "move you to tears", like it did me, then you need a day with "a Victor of your own"*

There are few thing, in or of this world, more powerful & moving, than watching, witnessing God's awesomeness at work, and how a person's true testimony, even though I sprung this on Victor, after our late afternoon lunch together, having only spent 7-8 hours together, in a single day!

09/08/2017

That didn't take long.... "Blood in the water", scum of Creation, malpractice attorney just called, to inform me I'm being sued😡😤👊🏻🙏🏻

I rendered emergency medical aid to the wrong West Coast, Liberal transplant, during whichever wave, after Baytown's mass evacuation, was still going West, toward San Antonio, late last Monday/early Tuesday...

While rolling solo, for a stretch, I grazed the outer, westernmost edge of Greater Houston, and I decided to stop heading East, on I-10, to go back West bout 10 miles, to walk/work the Katy, TX's Buc-ee's station's 3/4 mile long line, for fuel. (27700 Katy Fwy / Katy, TX 77494)

This is the very same place that the FOXNEWS Channel's crew, got the "Flagship Truck", and me loading my kiddos' little, soft side, Radio Flyer wagon, with my med kit stuff, and as many iced down water bottles, as I hoped wouldn't break it. All the media contact, by producers' minions, that I've had to shutdown/decline any self-glorification interviews, for nearly a week now, has been my sole regret, for having not covered up my direct cell number. At least without a website anymore, they'd have had to work a lot harder to get ahold of me, when Google searching RCCM.

ANYWAY, about 15-20 cars down, from my starting point, I came upon a Prius, with a middle aged woman's extremely swollen foot. With all I've seen and done sense, I cannot recall what caused it, but something had crushed her lateral; 3rd, 4th, and 5th distal metatarsal heads, to what I was sure was between pea-gravel & sand. It had been 48-60 hours prior, and she told me their neighbors had given her the industrial sized rubber band, that she had left on her lower calf, basically since the incident.

With that sort of horrid advice, and not even stopping for the lousy Red Cross' med tent nurses to look at it, much less one of the 50+ National Guard of Texas' medic trailers they'd have passed by, I stopped everything, to fatman sprint back to the truck.

Thank the good Lord, that is enough of my wits dangling around, in my diseased mind, to make her sign an official treatment responsibility waver, or she'd be within her legal right to sue for Godforsaken punitive damages, over just her hospital bill.

I had to uses a 6" pry-bar, with a new shop towel to pad it, only to get at the band with pair of wire dikes, to get that off her calf, after putting a real, field tourniquet, above her knee.

The moment I'd cut that rubber band off, I could watch the marrow poisoning start to climb. So, I instructed her husband to race us over to my truck, where I funneled in 5 gallons, of my reserve generator's gas into their car, and told him to head straight for the first real ER, that was just down W I-10, in Brookshire, or when that blood poisoning made it passed my best efforts, to her heart, she was done.

Off they went, and because I wanted to know how she was doing, I gave him one of my RCCM cards.

It's now five-ish days later, she is alive, yet is suing me for the half a foot she'd have lost, via a NG sawbones medic...

So, typically I'd fight this to the death, and I'll see what I can do, while representing myself, in a Progressive/San Antonio courtroom, by considering court fees and filing expenses, that my friend/defense attorney will file for just the direct fees only. Had I not self-funded two, full relief efforts already, I'd have the just under $12K, since she doesn't even have ObamacarE's/ACA's terrible insurance coverage.

I don't know what else to say, at this moment, aside that I'm now just as much a Harvey victim, as those that lost say, a UTV that didn't have insurance....

*Please, y'all pray with & for me, as I've come to my uncle's affliction's return, late, because others believed they were "protecting me/us". Ask that He also forgive my harsh tongue & tone, that I first lashed at our family members, whom simply do not understand The Walk*

Almighty God,
If there was ever a day, in which I need the grace & strength of your Son, have The Holy Spirit at my side, and be granted your wisdom & will, to rule over my every word, it is upon me Lord. I pray Christ guard my afflicted family from Satan's continuous invasions, into my loved one's mind, and allow me the opportunity to make this family whole & righteous again. Forgive me oh God, for not getting involved so much sooner, and please aid me, as I work to play catch up.

In the name of God the Father, God the Son, and His Holy Spirit, hear my pleas and prayers.

Amen

*Harvey's reach may know no bounds*

*Local, H.O.T. charity case*

Foremost, this is still a developing case, and I'm asking for your prayer alone, at this time.

Now then, I realize that every single soul, that I am about to try to tug at here, is either; skeptical over "individual charity", focused on their own trials & tribulations, has their sights set upon helping those affected by Hurricane Harvey, and/or still unsure of the actual walk & works I'm into, as "just another flawed sinner".

I cannot force anyone to trust in me, or my Christian ministry. I would never pass judgement on those whom question my intentions. However, I will never cease to serve, as I see fit, my God, my family, and my fellow man.

All the while, that I pray & wish me n mine could; right all the wrongs, sort out "the world's nonsense", and save all of God's Creation, we simply cannot. That does not stop me from recognizing injustices, when they are directly in my view!

I've spent the last 20+ hours, off & on at times, learning all I can, about the struggles of a single, salt of the Earth, family, whom call Elk, TX home. The King Family consists of; an elderly woman named Lola, her son named James, his terminally ill wife named Maryanne, their daughter named Rachelle *spell check*, and her young daughter also named Lola.

It is an absolutely useless detail, but they are one of a small number of families, that were once the area's original "Branch Davidians", long before Vernon Howell, aka David Koresh, and Lola King's family left the Seventh Day Adventists' sect, prior to 1970-71.

Since that time, the King's have worked their small farm, that just sustains their family's most humble lives, and are basically cast out from all of my beloved Heart of Texas, simply because they were not always, "A poor, Southern Baptist family, whom farm near Elk, TX."

"How did they come into contact with you?"

It's really simple y'all. I've my little postcard size "information cards", stationed in just about every local business, and country store, in the Greater Waco area, that'll allow me to peg them to a board, tape them to a wall, or leave them on a countertop. As James King picks up extra work, he took a card, from Watson's Feed, in Mart, TX, and called me Monday afternoon.

After having to leave me a voicemail, because we'd yet to catch a breath, from my second mission to aid Harvey's victims, I returned his call this morning. We've spoken, on now eight occasions, for over six total hours, spanning from 10:15am yesterday, until our last call, starting at 11:40pm last night, while I was tending to a family member's needs, at the Woodway, TX Walmart.

It is my full intention, once I've sent Amanda to work and take my children to daycare, to go to the King's home, here in the coming hours this morning. It seems that Harvey's mighty wind and rains, reach their tiny, country home, and has forced James to tarp off nearly 1/3 of their roof, and parts of the SE corner walls.

After whatever truly happened, while I was playing witness to the ATF/Koresh's "Davidians" stand off and calamity unfold, from my 4th grade classrooms, the Heart of Texas' citizenry, especially "Christians", have had zero compassion for those families even remotely associated with the Branch Davidian sect, of the Seventh Day Adventists'. It's a stench upon our area's proud history, yet folks like myself must bring a stop to this "inhuman treatment", of those whom were, and were not part of those who followed Vernon Howell's grand perversion of the Christian Faith!

Did I mention, atop all the other obstacles the King Family still faces, that they are BLACK...?

If all this is true, and together we were to properly bring the King's, and our greater, HOT community together, to heal decades of unfounded, generalized hatred & misunderstanding to an end, what an AWESOME example could be shown to this nation, this world!

To close this long prologue, I've tried to put into text, and ready myself for the day's light to shine, I'm struggling to tamp down my own expectations, and again, I ask for y'allz prayers. I've no grand illusion, about how this may all be some elaborate scheme, or worse, it's all true, and no one is going to be willing to seize this moment, even locally.

I will follow up, regardless of what I learn, or don't learn, from today's vetting.

As our Mission #2 came to a curfew induced halt, we retreated to a Stuckey's truck stop, on the NW side of I-10, between Beaumont and Houston. Our need to refuel, the rig, the cans, and ourselves became "Mission Critical", after we'd been run out of greater Beaumont.

As we were pulling out, I stopped to greet a small army, there for the same reasons, yet unaware of the curfews, that greeted them first. Come to find out, they had come all the way from Daytona, FL, with three, packed rigs, all with race car trailers filled with aid of all sorts, two RV coaches, both hauling large, shallow-water skiffs.

It hurts my heart, that we were their first contact, after getting to Texans & Texas, but we swapped contact info, I was able to direct them to a large Interstate rest-stop, and gave them the area's official contact, for the NG commander & RC's staging location.

We spoke this afternoon. God bless them, for they did offload over half of the supplies they hauled here, and have begun their long dash home, with Irma's sights set on their own beloved state.

We've promised to stay in contact, so that we Texas Christians may, ought to, be prepare to be a force, within the Hurricane Irma initial response!

Through the coming days, you will be able to get realtime, onsite updates here, directly from those Floridians, whom did not simply retreat, to ready themselves for Irma!❤️🙏🏻😇👊🏻

As so many of my family & friends have accepted my invites, to "Like" this extension, of my RCCM's works, Page specific to Harvey relief/aid efforts, and more will continue to join, as I can only invite 100 folks at a time, I humbly ask that y'all send invites to your own family and friends, please.

God blesses us all! Amanda, current RCCM members, and I thank y'all! For this is only the beginning, illustrated by the fact I'm amending my postcards, to place these relief efforts, BOLDLY, among my normal ministry works, ASAP!

FYI everyone: All of my awareness items; like these cards, signage, & "stress footballs", never come out of donor dollars. Neither does the upkeep on my "Flagship", Truck-1, that I drive daily, or any of the owned/borrowed equipment.

Y'all ever really "step in it"? I mean, truly muck up something, regardless of your good intentions?

Among those photos I shared yesterday evening, I took pictures of things I shouldn't have, or at least asked permission first, because though it was of a great deal of things not belonging to me, regardless of my ability to borrow/use most anything. The original sin, of it all, was it showed far too much of the location. Anyone, at anytime, could have recognized the place, and exploited those seemingly harmless pics, to rob our family blind.

I've deleted the post, removed those from my photos, but most importantly, I've apologized and owned my terrible lapse in judgement, and any/all consequences due me.

At another time, I will share the photos of RCCM's works, and those that are not potentially harmful to our family, but for the time, I'm gonna pray, and ask that Christ take that burden of guilt from me, and allow time for the trust & forgiveness to come, from those I'd inadvertently betrayed.

*Do not allow yourselves to neglect those on your home fronts, while volunteering or donating to Harvey's victims*

After our Labor Day Weekend's Mission #2, Truck-1 still held nearly 1 ton of our relief food supply, because much of the grander, and much much larger relief organizations had arrived, across most of the affected area.

So this morning, after getting my kiddos to daycare, I began to make my hometown rounds.

If y'all will go to either your own areas municipal building, or the best sources are local food banks & soup kitchens, you can get your hands on a list of the elderly, struggling folk and families. Rather than simply mass dropping food, medical supplies, etc, at those places, take the time to visit those persons in need, and bless them with whatever you can, personally!

Your lists ought to contain the proper information; including their food allergies, whether they are diabetic, or some may be otherwise limited, in what they can consume, and if they have say, a latex allergy, for things like medical gloves.

When we struck out to begin to load up supplies, for our second mission, our Sam's Club in Waco had mistakenly sold our three pallets, or 6600 .5L bottles of water. Was that a painful blow? Of course it was, yet once they refunded my Sam's Club Credit, Rob & I rolled with the punches, and substituted an equal dollar amount of what RCCM calls "The Ws".

Typically it's "The WWWs"; Wraps - emergency medical and sanitation aid items, Water - both cooking gallons & drinking bottles, and Wieners - all things pop-top, or individually sealed, food rations.

So with my waters, gallons & bottles, all gone, I spent the same on the other two Ws; cases of pop-top cans of beef ravioli, cases of Vienna Sausage cans, and massive boxes of their brand "Nutra-Grain" flavored fig & fiber bars.

Those three items, as we handed them out to those still without food aid, equaled BLDs (Breakfasts, Lunches, & Dinners) for at least a week, for all those individuals & families we found, along our 870 miles, during our three day mission.

Once it was only myself & Amanda, after running rear guard for Rib's injured rig, from McGregor to Gonzales, where we broke off to rush to aid one of our Waco business owners, whom was in Port Aransas. Tom Leggott, and his Leggott Trailers of Waco, Inc., provides all my trailers with tires, wheels, hitch locks, etc, at only his cost, and zero labor fees. Tom needed us to bring him a hitch lock, as well as 10-15 gallons of diesel, in exchange for the two tires, on wheels and hitch lock, needed for GN Trailer-3.

Port Aransas & Mustang Island already had the NGs, Red Cross, and The Salvation Army, so we moved more inland, first to Refugio & Victoria. They'd yet to receive much, in the way of mass food aid, so we crept through those cities, and the dozen or so others, announcing on the PA, "We have food" etc, as we made our way all the way to Winnie/South Beaumont, before the anti-looting curfews stopped us.

Our BLDs, and our medical aid, ceased to be needed, from those areas, and we had to move inland to find businesses open, for fuel and food for ourselves, which also got us home to our family, our kiddos, ahead of schedule.

My personal donations, of the remaining supplies Amanda & I purchased, for Mission #2, began with donating about 1/3, split between our kiddos' daycare, Lil' Pup Academy, and a local soup kitchen/food bank.

The rest, as you can see my grandparents as an example in this photo, was delivered door to door, aided by my list, and that brand of Christ-led ministry is, and will always be here, for all to do, long after the Harvey relief efforts are completed!

Mandy, Truck-1's shotgun nurse, for Mission #1, showed up with this guardian angel, that we named Sue.

Sue has been made a permanent part of Truck-1, and she has returned us all, safely and unscathed, a second time!

Mission #2 saw us lay down more miles, on less Engine Time, yet the hustle of the final day, to get home to our families, rang up more than half of the total.

For those thinking about joining Mission #3: We will not be rolling for 20.5 hours 😉. Our time will be spent "onsite", on Rockport's peninsula; with the heavy machinery, labor force, and cooking team. Prayer over it🙏🏻❤️😇👊🏻

Welcome to RCCM's Page, setup for the sole purposes of; planning, organizing, detailing, recruiting, and yes, raising funds, to make Hurricane Harvey's affected families & areas whole again!

Our "Base of Operations" may be located near McGregor, TX, yet our volunteers & means span as far as Christ's compassion & strength guides our efforts!

We've already conducted our initial recon mission, which included our skeleton Medical Team & those such supplies, and as much initial "Emergency Level Supplies", aka "ELS" (that is both mass & individual; drinking & cooking water, self-contained protein & carb loaded foods, sanitizing bottles, and both children & adult soaps) that would fit in Truck-1's bed.

Then, over the extended Labor Day Weekend, Truck-1 first lent rear convoy coverage, for a returning Rockport, TX resident, then delivered more ELS, starting on Mustang/Port Aransas Island, ending near Greater Beaumont-Port Arthur, stopped solely by the near emptying of supplies, and the area's "8pm, looter deterrent, curfew".

We, J Douglas & Amanda Guthrie IV, will be able to fund one more, long mission, before RCCM efforts will be at the mercy of when donor funds' are replenished.

Our heavy equipment, operators, and onsite volunteers, are being organized now, with a rough departure date of Sept 15th, in the evening. Once I've at least nailed down Truck-1 & Trailer-4's crew, as well as Supply-1's, I will create an Event.

We are headed to a previously arranged Staging Area, just inland from Ingleside, TX's land entryway, onto the GZ peninsula.

Direct your questions, or wishes to join RCCM's next mission, to JD, via call or text, (254) 722-2700 in case you've trouble find that in the About area, or begin to donate, via our Paypal: https://www.paypal.me/rccministries

May God bless; y'all, those we aim to make whole again, and our ministry efforts, as a whole! 🙏🏻❤️😇

Go to paypal.me/rccministries and type in the amount. Since it’s PayPal, it's easy and secure. Don’t have a PayPal account? No worries. Getting one is fast and free.
