Not many showed up, but we definitely showed out! We ate, danced, sang, and played bingo. One thing about me—I am going to make it worthwhile.

Don’t get hung up on numbers or how many people attend, because if you do, you may end up disappointed. It’s not always about the quantity; it’s about the quality of the time spent together.

A special thank you to Mary Holley and Shikeena Brown for helping make the event enjoyable. Congratulations to Mary Holley for also winning the $50 gift certificate for being the first person to arrive!

We had a great time, and that’s what matters most.

Community Service

I have three amazing young ladies who asked if they could complete community service hours toward their senior year of high school.

I explained to them that community service is not always about sitting in the air conditioning and doing nothing. Their first task was to pick up litter throughout the entire complex. They didn’t frown or complain—their response was simply, Yes ma’am.

These young ladies did an outstanding job and have the community looking great! I am very pleased with their hard work, on time, positive attitudes, and the way they are taking their community service hours seriously.

Thank you, ladies, for setting a great example. Keep up the excellent work!

Thank You to Everyone Who Attended Today’s Meeting

Thank you to everyone who attended today’s meeting. It was a great success and very informative.

Director Allen Evans opened the meeting by discussing plans for the next five years. These plans include installing new doors and windows for each unit, as well as improvements to the parking lot.

The floor was then opened for residents to share ideas and suggestions for improvements they would like to see in the community. Some of the ideas presented included:

* A laundromat
* A swimming pool
* A camera/security system
* Barbecue and picnic areas
* Additional parking spaces
* Monthly birthday recognitions
* Community game nights

We appreciate everyone who took the time to attend and share their thoughts. Your input is valuable as we continue working together to improve our community.

Pick up days are Monday & Thursday only 10am-12:00pm. Monday pickup will cover Mon, Tuesday & Wednesday. Thursday pickup will cover Thursday, Friday & Saturday. Please come before 12:00!!!

I’m looking forward to a great summer with my kiddos!

If anyone would love to come out and lead a program this summer, please get in contact with me. We’re open to a variety of activities such as arts & crafts, math, reading, cooking, computer programming, and outdoor fun.

Volunteers are welcome and appreciated!
