When was the last time you had one of these? It has been a long while for us.

So to celebrate Father’s Day with the dads and grandads, the McF SC is gonna be serving up our version of banana splits during intermission to our Bingo players this Friday. Come celebrate and play with us! Door opens at 6pm. We play at 7pm. Must be 18 years old to play.

There is only one spot remaining for the Barn Quilt Workshop at the McF SC on Sat., 6-27. Should there be enough interest, another workshop can be scheduled in August.

Not to brag or anything. . .

But I am gonna brag!

Take a look at what the cooks out of the Alta Vista Senior Center kitchen prepared for today’s “Friendship Meal”! It sure looks good; however, it tastes EXCELLENT! I should know. I am enjoying one right now. (I hope they see this post.)

And, during the meal deliveries today someone told me “Those people sure know how to cook!”.

So thank you to the people and organizations who make this happen. Thank you to the volunteer drivers in Alma (and there are 20 plus) who transport and hand off the meals to McF’s volunteer drivers, who then get to deliver to some pretty fabulous people!

I am certain once the cat is out of the bag about these meals, there will be others who would benefit and would like to receive meals for themselves or their loved ones. My understanding is meals are available in most areas throughout Wabaunsee county and are super easy to get started.
