The laughter, smiles, and fellowship made for an unforgettable weekend for New Covenant Cub Scouts Pack 62! We had 42 scouts participating this weekend!!!!

~Saturday our scouts showed up at 9 am ready to learn the importance of safety. They gained hands on experience with BB Guns and Archery.

~Sunday was our Raingutter Regatta race!
Our scouts proudly displayed the boats they created and raced. The best part was watching them cheer for one another! Our Scouts were excited to see the parents compete against each other!

A huge THANK YOU to our CubMaster Ken Staggs for ensuring our scouts stayed on task and Marcus for building boats on site for scouts who didn’t have a boat!

💙 One Pack. One Family. One Amazing
Adventure. 💛

A special thank you to our Scouts Evan and Terrance for opening our meeting, and to Raelyn for closing us out in prayer. We had 36 scouts this evening!

Many of our scouts came in a little shy, but by the end of the meeting, we saw smiles, laughter, communication, teamwork, and new friendships beginning to grow.

We kicked things off with our Stacking Cup Challenge as an icebreaker. Our scouts were divided into three groups and given five minutes to communicate with each other sharing their name and grade. Each group worked together and shared how the activity connected to the Scout Oath and Scout Law.

Some of the lessons our scouts shared were:

~Even when the cups fall, never give up!”
~Sportsmanship means being a good sport to everyone, even if they aren’t on your team.
~It doesn’t matter what place you win as long as you don’t give up!
~Teamwork and communication help us accomplish more together.

These are the moments that make Scouting so meaningful.

Our scouts also picked up their supplies for our Regatta Race on September 27th!
We can’t wait to see what they create!

Thank you to every parent, leader, volunteer, and scout for making tonight successful!

Troop & Pack 62 came together to serve God and the community by welcoming people to church. It was a beautiful day of giving back, showing kindness, and strengthening our faith as a Pack.

We’re so proud of our scouts for embracing the spirit of service and making a difference in the lives of others.
