The Tussahaw District Council gathered on 12/11/25 to honor the faithful leadership and tireless service of those who make a lasting impact on our Scouts.

Congratulations to our Chartered Organization Representative Mr. Rob Hires for receiving the Troop 62 Camporee Host Troop Award, and to Cub Scout Pack 62 for receiving its Chartered Certificate (Chartered Date: 09/30/2025) and recognition for participating in the Locust Grove Christmas Parade!

It was a joyful moment, and we can’t wait to see our Chartered Certificate proudly displayed in our Pastor’s office.

We are grateful to GOD for these leaders and the opportunity to serve our community.

Pack 62 was honored to serve our community at the SWEETEST annual events in Henry County the Hot Chocolate Social.

Pack 62 was divided into several areas, including assisting the Mayor with passing out toys to children, passing out s’mores roasting kits to families and adding extra holiday cheer by dressing as a Christmas tree, welcoming incoming guests and posing for photos!

Through this experience, our Scouts lived out the Scout Law by being helpful, friendly, and kind, learning that service makes a difference.

As we close out the year, we are reminded that when we serve others, we are serving GOD.

Many Thanks to ChickFilA for ensuring volunteers had enough food, drinks and water throughout the night! It was truly a DELIGHTFUL evening!

Our Scouts had a blast designing stockings for our 1st Annual Christmas Party!

This week we focused on the Scout Oath being mentally awake (making good choices) and morally straight (doing what’s right). Our Scouts also shared what they learned over the past two weeks!

Our captains Aminah (Lions) and Dax (Webelos) did an Amazing job leading their teams!

It was an honor for Cub Scout Pack 62 to participate in the Locust Grove Christmas Parade and join all the amazing packs and troops in the Tussahaw District. Our scouts designed their very own float, pouring creativity and love into every snowman & snowflake! Our theme was: SNOW MUCH FUN WITH PACK 62!

This parade was the first of many for our pack, and we are so grateful for our scouts and parents!

On Monday, Pack 62 put the Scout Law into action! The Scouts were split into two teams for a stacking cups challenge. Captain Dax and Captain Amir were helpful and ensured their team understood the task! Our Scouts stayed friendly and cheerful as they worked together to build their towers.

When the towers eventually fell, our Scouts demonstrated bravery and problem solving by working together to rebuild. Their reverent respect for each other’s efforts made the activity even more meaningful.

This challenge showed that when we live the Scout Law and rely on each other, we rebuild STRONGER every time. It builds trustworthiness and true teamwork!

Prayer and faith are key components in life! Our Cub Scout Dax shared a prayer that surely made God smile! It was powerful!

Pack 62 had an amazing den meeting tonight! Our Scouts are truly leading the way! They opened and closed the meeting with confidence and absolutely no guidance. We are so grateful to watch their leadership grow right before our eyes.

We also worked on our decorations for our Christmas float, and we couldn’t be more proud of the teamwork, creativity, and the way they support one another.

A huge thanks to our wonderful parents for always helping wherever needed!

Pack 62 spent Sunday afternoon serving the community by filling four local food pantries. Our Scouts were excited to serve! They cleaned and wiped down the shelves before stocking them and also left prayer cards for encouragement.

We talked about the peace that comes from giving back and the Scouts shared their thoughts on Hebrews 13:16. It was a beautiful day of giving, reflecting, and serving others with a cheerful and willing spirit.
