CD4RP to Host MLK Jr. Day of Service Food Drive and Distribution!

In honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Community Development For Real People (CD4RP) will hold a Day of Service Food Drive and Food Distribution to benefit the local underprivileged community. The event will take place on Monday, January 19th from 11am-1pm at 1781 Hwy 42N, McDonough, GA 30253.

Volunteers are invited to report at 9:30am and as late as 11:00am to help with setup, packing food bags, and distributing the groceries. Teens are encouraged to volunteer. Pre-Teens can volunteer with parental supervision. The food drive aims to collect non-perishable items starting at 10am to support local families in need. Then distribute the food to fight hunger. Monetary donations are also welcome.

Only 3 ticket per family maximum. Each ticket represents a child who will receive 3 toys. Any family who reserves more than three tickets will have their extra tickets canceled and reissued.

I hope all is well. It’s time for (CD4RP) Community Development For Real People, Inc “Adopt A Family Christmas 2025!” The need is even greater with the federal shutdown and nutrition benefits being suspended causing our food purchasing costs to triple. 🙏🏾

Community Development for Real People Inc. is a 501c3 nonprofit that provides food for less fortunate families weekly and we give away toys at Christmas putting smiles on little faces.

We are trying to raise more funding this year with so many families in need due to the federal shutdown and being unable to fulfill all the requests last year. Our biggest challenge is gifts for kids 12-15 years old as most donations are for younger kids. Toys will be accepted up to and during the event time.

Please see our Adopt A Family by Christmas video to understand the love we share each year with the community and the amazing impact that resulted in tears of joy!
