Dream Girlz Mentoring, Inc., is the vision of Tina M. Quinn divinely inspired by her life experiences. It is a faith based not for profit (501c3) organization for girls ages 6-16. Her inspiration began unfolding through the Out Reach ministry at her church. Through this affiliation grew relationships with young girls in the community. Tina saw the need to provide young girls the tools needed to s
ucceed while minimizing their chance of becoming one the many statistics in their community by providing them a platform to express their fears, challenges while encouraging them to draw on their strengths. Dream Girlz Mentoring, Inc. was founded in 2008. Our motto is “Changing Lives One Girl At A Time”. Our desire is to collaborate with local Housing Authorities, churches, as well as the DFCS to provide these girls with the tools and resources needed for success, health and wealth. Each girl is assigned her own personal mentor that will offer guidance, encouragement and support. Mentor/mentee relationships are a life commitment (unless problematic and then a change is made). (DGM), was created to have a positive impact on this group of individuals by helping them to become stronger and to make better choices. What we offer:
• One on one mentor /mentee matching
• Quarterly rap sessions – Topics to coincide with “what’s trending in news”
• Workshops Twice a month on Saturday for approximately 3 hours
o Guest speakers on everyday life topics, importance of education, finances, bullying-teen violence; dating violence; human trafficiking, sexually transmitted diseases (by licensed GYN nurse and Physician’s Assistant) and other topics as expressed by young ladies through survey’s that are provided at registration and from our quarterly rap sessions
