Memorial Day was declared a national holiday through an act of Congress in 1971, and its roots date back to the Civil War era, according to the U.S. Department of Veterans' Affairs. Unlike Veterans Day, Memorial Day honors all military members who have died in while serving in U.S. forces.

Today, 8 March 2023, marks a monumental moment in our Army’s history. Today, the Army has officially released its new logo (pictured), and announced the new and reenergized favorite motto- “Be All You Can Be!”

This motto is not only a way to pay homage to our lineage, but to also allow recruits and Soldiers to understand the opportunities in the Army to reach new heights, and achieve goals never before imagined!
