Using medicine as a means to draw people to the Gospel of Jesus Christ, our goal is to assist missionaries as they plant local, New Testament, Baptist churches, and point others to the Great Physician!

On the first day of clinic, a woman came in, but after addressing her medical condition, it became clear that she was carrying a much deeper burden. She seemed tearful and sad. A team member told her that she would be speaking with someone from the church soon, but if she wanted to share, we would love to listen. She opened up about the difficulties she had faced in life and said, “I just need to find God!”

After a team member shared their own testimony, need for a Savior, and the hope found in Jesus Christ, a sweet interpreter, who happened to be the pastor’s daughter, carefully and thoroughly explained the gospel. This patient was so ready to receive it. She bowed her head, and as they all held hands, she prayed aloud to Jesus.

What a beautiful moment as we welcomed a new sister in Christ into the family of God!

One of the greatest joys of these trips is getting to share the experience with the people who come alongside this mission. Their support, encouragement, and commitment help make moments like these possible, and we're so thankful for each one of them.

One of the most remarkable things about the Shepherd is that He leads His sheep to places of rest. Sheep will not lie down when they are anxious, fearful, or unsettled. Yet the Shepherd creates an environment where they can rest because they trust His care.

Many of us live at a pace that leaves little room for quietness before God. We move from task to task, responsibility to responsibility, believing that rest can wait. But the Shepherd knows that our souls need more than productivity - they need His presence. Sometimes the most spiritual thing we can do is stop striving and rest where He has led us.

This week, set aside some time to sit quietly with the Lord. Open His Word, pray, and simply enjoy being in the presence of your Shepherd.

The Shepherd leads us to rest because He knows what our souls need.
