This week at the Library…..
September 1: come in and meet Greta the Library Goose and kids age 0-18 can pick a free book in Memory of Dolly Parton who promoted literacy for children! 1 book per child while supplies last. Child must be present.

September 3: Township Meeting 5 PM
Library Board Meeting 6 PM

September 5: Library closed for Labor Day Weekend

I am still on rest per doctor’s orders but Lance will be there to take care of you!

Meet Greta the Library Goose. She will be at the library soon recommending books and keeping patrons informed. Of course, she will keep up with the latest fashion trends.

We have children’s books that we have purchased for rewards. What better way to honor Dolly and her legacy to literacy than to put these books in the hands of children! On Tuesday, September 1, children age 0-18 can pick a free book from our selection during library hours.

To celebrate McCune’s 80th Fall Festival, the library is going to number( 1-80) rocks and invite our loyal patrons come in and paint them. Fall Festival weekend the rocks will be hidden. (bean feed, Main Street, park etc) On our Facebook feed we will have a section for you to post pictures of rocks found next to its coordinating number in the comment section . You can keep the rock or put it in the front of the library in the flower garden. One number will be drawn and if you found that rock you will win a prize! Stay tuned for more details.

Before purchasing for an activity for the 80th Fall Festival, does anyone have access to river rock that would be good size for painting and hunting? We need 80! Thanks
