McCune Alumni Association The McCune Alumni of McCune Kansas is the association of Alumni who have graduated from McCune Rural High School and McCune Elementary.

The association is dedicated to giving back to its community through scholarships and support to community needs.

Great day to be an Eagle! We had a wonderful turnout for the Annual Alumni Dinner and Meeting. Thank you to all that came, organized, donated, served, and cleaned up. Congratulations to the 1976 class for their 50th. Congratulations to Jim Fraser for being the 2026 Alumni Honoree. Congratulations to the 2026 scholarship recipients. If you enjoyed the table decorations, Carolyn Michael made all of those.
Thank you to Sharon Leonard for all her work creating and making the newsletter, programs, and certificates.
Thank you to Kathy Stewart for all her hard work as our treasurer and keeping track of all the incoming meal tickets, donations, and more.
Thank you to Jolene Conway for keeping us organized with precise note taking as our secretary.
Thank you to Jeff Han our vice president for all of your help, lending the mic, and driving the recipients.
Thank you to Morgan Blanchard-Zimmer, our president for all of your help, work, and making sure the catering was taken care of.
Thank you to Carolyn Michael for the hours and time spent working and making pieces for this year's theme, for your work with the scholarships and honorees, helping make and serve drinks, and all the set up.
Thank you to all of our servers and set up crew: Joe and Beverly Smith, Kathy and Jay Stewart, Morgan and Kyle Zimmer, Carolyn and John Michael, Kent Smith, and Pat Blanchard.
HUGE thank you to all the alumni that stayed after the banquet to help clean up and set up for Sunday's Church service in the community center, we appreciate you all!!!

Reminder for events today for the Alumni during Fall Festival Saturday September 26th. 2026.
9:45am Scholarship Recipients meet the float by the grade school.
10:30 the grand parade.
2:00pm Social at the park.
5:00pm the Alumni Dinner- should have paid in advanced or spoken to Kathy Stewart.
6:00pm the Alumni Annual Meeting.

Make sure you are sending your meal ticket money/reservations for the annual Alumni Dinner Sep 26th, 2026 at 5pm to Kathy Stewart by Sep 18th, 2026.
Dinner will be catered by Chicken Marys.
Menu: Fried Chicken, Brisket, Mac and Cheese, Green Beans, German Slaw, German Potato Salad, Bread &Butter.
Dessert will be catered by Circle's Pecans and will be an array of fresh baked pies!
Meeting to follow the dinner at 6pm. If you have questions please contact us. Thank you!

McCune Alumni Meeting Aug 19th 6pm at Chicken Mary's. This is the last meeting before the Annual Meeting. Make sure to be sending in your meal ticket money and raffle money to Kathy Stewart.

Reminder. June 17th, 2026 Alumni Meeting will be at 6:00pm at Chicken Marys. All alumni and spouses welcome. We would really appreciate if members of the 1976 class could attend!

*Upcoming Schedule*

May 29th, 2026. Scholarship candidates must have applications to Carolyn Michael. Scholarship packets were sent out to those eligible.

June 17th, 2026 at 6:00pm Alumni Meeting at Chicken Marys.

July 1st, 2026 Articles for the Alumni Newsletter Due. These can be about fond memories of attending school, etc... Articles need to be sent to Sharon Leonard.

July 20th, 2026 at the McCune Osage Township Library Hall at 6:00pm will be newsletter prep. This intels folding, placing address labels, and stamps to mail the newsletter. We absolutely NEED volunteers!! Also, if you have a change of address or know of other alumni that do, please let us know ASAP.

August 19th, 2026 Alumni meeting at 6pm. We will announce location soon. This will be the last meeting before Fall Festival weekend and the Annual Meeting.

September: Dinner Reservations/payment due the second week of September. If you pay and then are unable to attend please notify us, even if it is the day of the dinner. Tickets sell out fast, and MUST be reserved this year. Sent and notifications to Kathy Stewart.

September 26th, 2026. McCune Alumni Annual Dinner and Meeting.

October 21st, 2026 Alumni Meeting 6pm. Location to be announced.
