Greenlee Elementary Faculty and staff honored Fourth Grade ELS Teacher Dawn Kerr, left, and Fifth Grade Math and Science Teacher Christi Hill, far right, with a retirement ceremony Tuesday afternoon in the gym. GES Principal Josie Bain, is pictured center. Thank you for your dedication to teaching the students at GES. You will both be missed.

The Attala County School District was proud to host the 2026 Award Ceremony recognizing outstanding Teachers, Support Staff, Parents, and Administrators.

We appreciate the dedication, leadership, and commitment shown by each honoree in making a positive impact on our schools and students every day. Thank you to everyone who helped make this special event a success.

The following individuals were recognized and received awards for their outstanding dedication, service, and commitment to excellence from Greenlee Elementary School:
Support Staff of the Year Kimberly Baugh, Teacher of the Year Addie Burrell, and Macie Morgan, Parent of the Year. Baugh was also recognized as District Support Staff of the Year.

The final day of Teacher and Staff Appreciation Week teachers and staff were caffeinated in the morning with a choice of drinks from Sonic or Kosy Nutrition and lunch featured an assortment of sandwiches from Honey’s Place with chips sponsored by Angel Albin MacDonald/State Farm and the PTO. Our giveaway winners were Addie Burrell, Kosy Clean car wash; Katilyn Shaw, goodies from Holt & Co.; and Jessica Roney, plant from the Kosciusko-Attala Career and Technical Center. Thank you to all that donated today and this week to treat our teachers and staff.

Day 4 of Teacher and Staff Appreciation Week at Greenlee Elementary was Hunt Brothers pizza and salad courtesy of Farm Bureau (Wayne Blaylock) and PTO. Drawing winners were: Tara Howard, products from North of Natchez; Shayne Elsner, Confection Affection gift certificate; and not pictured Erin McCrory, gift from Pickle’s Drug Store. Thanks to all that donated.

Day 3 of Teacher & Staff Appreciation featured Daylight Donuts and juice from Frank Shaw Law Firm and fruit from the PTO. Winners today were Jenny Norwood, floral arrangement from May & Bloom; Lisa Odom, Daphne Steed, Penny Jones, and Leanne Dempsey, cupcakes from Pickle Baking Co.; and Susan Ellard, Inked gift certificate. Thanks to all that donated.
