On the first Tuesday of each month, free blood pressure clinics are available at both Eastward Village and the McCook Housing Agency office. Regular checks help you stay healthy and catch concerns early. Eastward Village's clinic is today from 9:45am-10:00am in the Community Room. A quick reminder that can save you a big headache later: avoid pouring grease, oils, or food scraps down your kitchen sink. Even when grease looks liquid, it hardens as it cools — and that buildup can lead to slow drains, clogs, and plumbing issues in your unit.

A few simple habits make a big difference:

Let grease cool, then throw it in the trash.
