McCook Storm Softball 16U

This is not an easy thing to post...

Our time as the McCook Storm Softball team has come to an end. These past 6 years are ones that we will remember always! You, our fans, our family, our friends, our community, have supported us through it all and we cannot Thank you enough for all that you've done for our team!! Cheering us on, helping us with fundraisers, sponsoring us through the years, please know it has never gone unnoticed. While it breaks our hearts that the Storm will no longer be on a softball field together, it brings us joy knowing that we were able to contribute to the love these girls have for this amazing sport! Our coaches will miss seeing these girls on the field but we hope they know that we will be rooting for them no matter where life takes them!!! Again, thank you all for everything!! We couldn't have done it without you!

*If anyone has any insight into teams (16u, in McCook or close to) needing players, please let us know. We have a few girls that are still interested in playing if they can find the right team! Any team would be lucky to have them!!

** Before we sign off completely, I'd like to close with this: Coaches matter! Their time with your kids matter. They don't get paid a penny for what they do, they do this because they LOVE it! Coaches lose sleep over your kids...maybe read that one again. Coaches miss out on family time to teach your kids. Respect the Coaches that take time away from their own family to be on that softball field with your child. Being a coach can be very challenging, mentally, emotionally, and physically...recognize that and try to be the positive that they need, not the negative. Without the coaches that step up, sports will disappear and that is definitely not what our kids deserve.

The Storm had their end of season party tonight!! Spent some time at the pool then had dinner and dessert as a whole team, including our families! While its never easy to say "see you later softball" when a season is over, I'm sure we're all ready for a slow down before school starts back up! The Coaches and I appreciate all our parents for allowing us this time with your amazing kiddos!!! Even during the hard times, we wouldn't change the duties we have for our team. We'll see what's in store for us next season!! Until then, keep on practicing and going for your dreams Peyton, Jackie, Aaliyah, Angelina, Madie, Eden, Cait, Taylor, Teagan, and Belle!!!

Sorry for the late pictures, but I finally had a little bit of time to get some posted. These are from the McCook Rebels Firecracker Classic, 7/5-7/6/25. The team played hard and had a goal, although they came up short. The game they played against the Force 18u on Sunday was a great one to watch and we are super proud of the first 3 innings they played!
Our 2025 season is now complete. and we all get a chance to relax a bit and focus on having a fun summer!! Thank you all for supporting our team the way you do! Through the up's and down's, you all have been there for our team! We greatly appreciate each and every one of you! Until next season!!!

The team played hard and had a goal, although they came up short. The game they played against the Force 18u on Sunday was a great one to watch and we are super proud of the first 3 innings they played!

Another hot day out on that softball field, but its what these girls love to do! The day didn't quite go as we'd hoped, but we had some great plays and left the field for the night with some smiles on faces!! Tomorrow we play at 9:30am field 4, single elimination. This is our last tournament so here's to everything we've got!! For the love of the game!

The McCook Rebels Firecracker Classic put on a pretty good fireworks show tonight too! That's always fun to stay behind and watch!
