🎀 Plant it Pink for Meredith McMorris 🎀
We couldn’t think of a more deserving first honoree for our Plant it Pink campaign!
This is Meredith’s story:
“My cancer journey began in March 2026 when a routine mammogram led to my breast cancer diagnosis. I underwent a lumpectomy in May and learned that the cancer had spread to a lymph node. I began chemotherapy in June and am now more than halfway through my second round of treatment. Once chemotherapy is complete, I will begin radiation, with the hope of having the majority of my treatment behind me by Christmas.
Although this journey has brought challenges I never imagined facing, it has also reminded me how truly blessed I am. I have been surrounded by an incredible family and dear friends who have loved me, encouraged me, prayed for me, and cared for me every step of the way.
My parents, Stan and Carol Ann McMorris, have been a constant source of love and strength. My sister, Melissa Duncan, her husband, Greg, and their children, Patrick and Ann Elise, along with my brother, Steven McMorris, his wife, Jennifer, and their children, Bradley and Elizabeth, have been such a blessing throughout this journey. I am also incredibly thankful for my dear friend, Misty Greene, whose friendship, encouragement, and support have meant so much to me.
Through the difficult days, I have been reminded that I do not have to face this journey alone. My faith in God, the prayers of others, and the love of the people closest to me have given me strength and hope when I have needed them most.
While my treatment is not yet complete, I look forward to finishing this chapter and embracing the days ahead with a grateful heart. Being recognized as a breast cancer survivor is a reminder of how far I have come and how much I have to be thankful for. I am especially grateful for the family and friends who have walked beside me, reminding me that even in life’s hardest seasons, there is so much love, hope, and beauty to be found.”
