The RIDGE Project We are an Ohio-based nonprofit dedicated to helping individuals and families build new legacies.

Our mission is to empower men and women with the character, skills and support to successfully return to their communities and families. The RIDGE Project is a Christian, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, founded in 2000 that provides services through partnerships with churches, schools, and state and national agencies to serve the youth and families of Ohio. Additionally, the organization strive

s to inform individuals, communities, the media and local and national policy makers of the importance of strong families. The organization has been recognized as a federal Department of Health and
Human Services “Best Practice” program, and has been identified nationally as a leader in family and youth services.

April is a month of reflection, accountability, and hope.

This month, we’re honoring National Reentry Month and Forgotten Victims Month in Ohio. These two observances remind us healing is not one-sided. True justice centered care holds space. For restoration, dignity and community on all sides.

Throughout April, we’ll be sharing stories, facts and meaningful ways to support both reentry and healing for victims and families. Together, we believe in pathways forward rooted in compassion and responsibility.

Learn about Chyisha's story and how your support impacts families.

"Standing in OUR new home with the keys in my hand feels so unreal. Me and my MAN have been patiently waiting, praying, and grinding for this moment - and it’s finally here. Took almost 2 months but we did it! This is more than just a house, it’s our fresh start, our safe space, our dream come true. Grateful, blessed, and beyond excited for this next chapter together. My kids are going to be so excited! I am incredibly proud of myself for how far I’ve come. Earning my basic electricity certificate while incarcerated was a major turning point in my life, and instead of stopping there, I chose to keep going. After my release, I took full advantage of the advanced electricity class that was offered to me, determined to build a better future. It wasn’t easy, but I stayed focused and committed to my growth. This is only the beginning of my journey, and I’m proud of the strength, discipline, and dedication I’ve shown to get where I am today. And on top of this, me and babe signed our lease today for our home. God is so GOOD to me and I’m forever grateful. I know I could go back to the old me and make way more money doing what I used to do... but I CHOOSE not to. Not because I can't! But because I love myself too much now to settle for fast money that comes with slow destruction. It takes real courage to change. Real strength to walk away from what's easy and chase what's right. TYRO taught me this: true success isn't just about what you earn, it's about who you become. And I'm becoming a woman I'm proud of, a woman my children can look up to!! One who chooses peace over pressure, purpose over profit, and growth over going backwards. No dollar amount can tempt me to lose myself again. I worked too hard to find her."
