If you haven't been to a Wolf Jett show, you are in for a fun time. We love this band because they can deliver soulful, beautiful, fun, uplifting music that will leave you feeling so lucky to have this band stop in at our moutain stage as they tour.

Come out next Wednesday evening (7-9pm), June 24th, to the McCloud River BnB outdoor stage. Bring lawn chairs. Pre-show dinner available starting at 4:30, call the BnB for reservations. The band describes their music as psychedelic Southern soul. I would say it's all that and more, join us on the 24th and find out for yourself!

Tickets are $20 per person, (presale on website, or at the door with cash or Venmo), children 14 and under are free with an adult. We plan to be outdoors on the lawn so bring your chairs or blankets.

Since starting out four years ago to bring professional roots music to our area and now becoming a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, our first fund raiser is underway. With that first performance featuring Jessica Malone and her band at Dan and Lindy Fay's beautiful McCloud home, we've continued to grow and attract some of the finest touring bands. Thank you to McCloud River Bed & Breakfast for providing a venue for our outdoor shows and Steve & Jill Seabock for your long time support providing event sound management.

After an incredible Season 1 filled with great conversations, growing support, and listeners tuning in from across the mountain music community, Mountain Music Breakdown is taking a short two-week break before launching Season 2.

We’re excited to return with our Season 2 premiere featuring Chris Jones of Wolf Jett, the band performing live on June 24, 2026 at our summer music series in McCloud. The new season will continue highlighting the musicians, stories, and culture shaping mountain music and independent Americana today.

The Shelby Means Band was amazing and a wonderful way to kick off the 2026 outdoor summer series last Monday evening. Next up is Wolf Jett, June 24, 2026 at the McCloud River BnB outdoor stage. Bring a lawn chair or blanket, and get ready to tap your toes to this talented and energetic band. We saw them at the Sierragrass festival last month, and they were SO fun. All tickets for the outdoor series are $20 (kids under 14 are free). Buy at the entry gate or online at ShastaMusic.org. I also highly recommend you arrive early for a pre-show dinner at the BnB! Dan and Julie are the ultimate hosts and their historic building and "cedar stage" make for a beautiful setting and venue. Monday evening, the 18th, at the McCloud River Bed & Breakfast from 7 to 9 pm Shasta Mountain Music presents Grammy winner Shelby Means. Bass player for the Molly Tuttle Band, Shelby is touring with her own band.

She's performed two shows at the Mondavi Center in Davis before heading north, last night at the Mondavi she thrilled the crowd closing with Led Zeppelin's Going to California. McCloud is her final performance for her tour of California. For jamgrassers, her banjo player on this tour, George Guthrie, also picks for Railroad Earth.
