We need a little help in Baca and Kiowa County. We want to make sure we offer sponsorship opportunities to anyone that would like to support the scholarship. We will do our best to try and visit all businesses, but might not be able to get everywhere. If you or anyone you know in Baca or Kiowa County would like to be a sponsor, please tag them or let us know and we can reach out directly. Thank you for your support!

We have a tournament date set. Mark your calendars for June 6th to join the tournament for a great cause. All proceeds go to support scholarships for local seniors.

I can start taking sponsor forms and team forms now. If you are interested please let Chris Stuart know.

We are excited to announce that we have grown our range of eligible applicants. When we started in 2024 it was Madison's graduating class in McClave. In 2025 we included all schools in Bent and Prowers County.

Now in 2026 we are including the four counties of Southeast Colorado. Any senior that is graduating from a high school in Baca, Bent, Kiowa, and Prowers County. The applications have been sent to all the schools already.

Thanks for the support!!

EVG had an opportunity to participate in the 2nd Annual Maks Scholarship golf tournament this spring. The MAKS scholarship supports the education of local children in the Lamar area, where our farm is located. We were happy to sponsor a few of our farmers and members of our on-farm extraction team to represent us on the greens while supporting our community and education. Thank you for the kind gift MAKS!

What a tournament! We want to thank all the golfers that attended our event. Congrats to our flight winners for 2025. Special thanks to one of our scholarship winners, Chloe Webber. She hung out all day and made a lot of putts for our teams.

MAKS Scholarship has received such amazing support from our community. Our amazing golfers yesterday donated $2,750 back in prize money. That is incredible and we can’t thank you enough.

We are a little over a month away from tournament date of May, 17th. Teams are filling up fast! If you want to get a team in the tournament, better do it soon!!

We already have some awesome giveaway prizes to win on the day of the tournament.

Big thanks to Chad Sniff from CS Designs for donating a set of custom co****le boards (anything you want on them).

Students have one more week to submit applications before the deadline of 4/11/2025. Thanks to those that have already applied. Be on the lookout for the announcement of winners in early May.

We are excited to announce that MAKS Scholarship Corp. will be able to continue to offer scholarships for the year of 2025. We will be offering 4 scholarships valued at $4,000 each, to graduating seniors of 2025 in all of Bent and Prowers County. We have already been in contact with school counselors so if you’re senior has any questions, please have them reach out. Scholarship applications will be available in the coming month of February. 

We are also planning another charity golf tournament on May 17th, so be on the lookout for that announcement coming soon.
