🧵 DON’T FORGET: THE GREAT WBA BALING TWINE PHOTO CONTEST!

Think you’ve got a ranch hack worth showing off? We want to see it!

Whether it’s a clever repair, a makeshift fix, or a use for baling twine that makes you wonder, “How did I even think of that?” — send us a photo!

📸 Submit your entry by 6:00 PM on December 10, 2026.

Entries will be shared and judged during the Wild West Buffalo Stampede Winter Conference.

And remember: don’t clean it up first. We want to see the real ranch ingenuity. 🧵🦬

🦬 BISON WISDOM

The Herd Is Stronger Together

The Western Bison Association doesn’t belong to the board—it belongs to all of us.

Every member, sponsor, idea, and helping hand makes WBA and our bison industry stronger.

As we head toward another Wild West Buffalo Stampede, we’re excited about what we’re building—and even more excited to do it with you.

Thank you for being a member. Thank you for supporting WBA. And thank you for helping move the western bison industry forward.

Keep learning. Keep sharing. Keep moving.

And above all—Keep the Bison on the Move. 🦬

🦬 WBA MEMBER HIGHLIGHT

This month, the WBA remembers John Allen Russell, a longtime member of our bison community who left a lasting mark on the industry.

From Air Force fighter pilot and Southwest Airlines captain to buffalo rancher and WBA officer, John lived a remarkable life filled with service, adventure, and a deep love for animals and bison.

John passed away peacefully on August 17, 2026, at age 80.

We are grateful for his contributions and honored to remember his legacy. He will be deeply missed.

🦬 RANCH TOOLBOX

Not every useful ranch tool comes with four wheels.

This month’s Ranch Toolbox tip: Chrome Autofill.

If you’re tired of typing the same name, address, phone number, and email over and over, Chrome can save that information and fill it in for you—including when you’re completing your WBA membership renewal.

To set it up:

1. Open Google Chrome.
2. Click the three dots in the top-right corner.
3. Select Passwords and Autofill.
4. Choose Contact Info.
5. Turn on Save and fill addresses.
6. Click Add and enter your information.
7. Click Save.

You can also add other information through the Autofill and passwords menu, including payment information and passwords.

Got a ranch tool, equipment, hack, or time-saver you swear by? Send it our way for a future Ranch Toolbox feature in the Bison Review.

🦬 FROM THE FIELD

We know our members have plenty of knowledge, experience, and ideas worth sharing.

Have you attended a workshop? Tried something new? Learned a lesson the hard way? Found a tip that made your operation better? Have a story, event, or topic you think other producers would find useful?

Send it our way!

Our board members have shared a lot over the years, but we’d love to hear from more of our WBA members and feature your experiences in the Bison Review.

Your idea might be exactly what another producer needs to hear.

Have something to share? Submit it for a future From the Field feature.
