Hamburer Steak Plate Sale
The Upton Co. Historical Society will be selling plates of hamburger steak,mashed potatoes, green beans & a roll for $12.00 a plate. Saturday, September 28, at the Girl Scout House (corner of 11th & Burleson) from 11:30 until sold out. You can pull up at the back & we will bring a plate to you.You may also come in & pickup a plate & see the upgrades to the building. All funds raised will go towards our restoration projects. Cash & cash app accepted.

We are still working on restoring the Little House aka Girl Scout House. So far we have replaced the roof, restored the front door, replaced the back door, updated the electrical. We will now be putting in new flooring and bathroom fixtures.

The Upton County Historical Commission is proud to be participating
for the first time in Wreaths Across America to Remember and Honor our Veterans.
Saturday December 17, 2022, at 10:30 am is set aside as Wreaths Across America Day and events will be simultaneously occurring across the Unites States.
Rankin will conduct their ceremony and wreath laying at 10:30 am at the Rankin Cemetery.
McCamey will conduct their ceremony at 10:30 am at the Veteran’s Memorial and the wreath laying will immediately follow at Resthaven and Garden of Memories cemeteries.
Four hundred and fifty-five wreaths will be placed on Veterans graves in Upton County made possible by private donations and sponsorship of the Upton County Historical Commission.
Everyone is encouraged to attend especially family members and loved ones.
As we Remember and Honor all who served.

The Upton County Historical Society is excited to have Sauls Electric rewiring the Girl Scout House. This is a big step in our restoration we have been working towards. We appreciate everyone who has donated & supported us.

The Upton County Historical Society fundraiser on Fiday July 30 was a outstanding success! Our plans for the funds are to complete the electrical rewiring & get heat & ac in the Girl Scout House.
Donations were $849.05 thank you to Vannessa Naverette for $250 & Javier Rodriguez $100. And everyone who dropped money in the donation jar last night. Our food sales were $2,195 for a combined total of $3,044.05.
I would like to say thank you to everyone who helped with food & serving. We had 5 teens who were awesome Ruben Aguilar, Taylor & Hunter Cavazos. Phoebe & Neveah Carrillo. You were a God send!
Thanks to Lowes Grocery for helping us with our food needs. Clark Penn at McCamey RV Park LLC for all the ice we needed. Gary Elliott ,Kathy Duncan, David & Patty Jones, Jana Marie Morgan beans. Roberta Hill Hollingsworth ,Jennifer Aguilar, Toby Pittman potato salad & cobbler. Friday July 30 @ 6:00 pm the Upton County Historical Society will be selling Bar-B-Que Plates for $15.00 each at the Girl Scout House 102 E. 11th St. All the proceeds will go to the restoration & renovation of the Girl Scout House. We will accept Cash App & cash only.

The Upton County Historical Society will be selling Bar-B-Q plates for $15 a piece on Friday July 30,2021 starting at 6pm at the Girl Scout House. This will be during the McCamey All School Reunion. Tickets are available for presale call or text 432-557-6844 for more info.
