I haven't posted on here for a while, truth is I've been dealing with a lot of things on the family side of life that has taken time and and at times has been an emotionally crazy ride but here's Gearbox's mental check in for who ever really see's anything on this page, I haven't been able to be at as many functions as I'd like, 2025 was a rough year for my wife and myself to say the least but Thanks to God we have overcome a big part of that and on top of health issues we have both delt with I have been in a dark place with Charter and Club situations so to speak, Nothing we can't overcome together but frustrating none the less. Here's the thing, Brotherhood is a wonderful thing in it's own right, it can be the thing that gives meaning and happiness and structure to a man that needs it but it's not a one way party, you have to nurture it, respect it and honor it to make it grow into that special thing that we all want it to be, that's when the word Brother means what it's supposed to mean when you speak it, when you say it to the man standing in front of you, If it doesn't come from your heart don't waste his time or yours speaking the word because if it don't come from there it don't mean s**t. Brotherhood is about more than just the men in your Charter believe me, You will grow closer to some from other charters or parts of the world than you ever may to some of the men you see more often, that's a fact and perfectly fine. Our Charter has experienced some Brotherhood issues as of late, everyone has very busy lives right now and we don't see each other near enough, even when we are all in town it's difficult to get anyone to commit to getting out. Due to lack of interest, busy schedules or just older age the club scene just isn't what it used to be and most likely never will be again, it's sad but it's happening everywhere. Never the less Brotherhood in it's true form doesn't really have much to do with the club or charters or even riding for that matter but those things in common are what brought us all together, they are why we took the oath we took and repeated that oath again so many times together, Brotherhood is the core, we need to get back to working on that to building that back to what it once meant to so many of us, the club is just a vessel that allows us to come together and share in the common things we love to do....Together.

Guys, We are in the process of making some change to our annual July Birthday Bash 2025. Our original plan was to start the event at noon on July 26th and have activities for kids, games and food trucks then a Brothers party from 5pm until with any additional none club guest as Invitation only, Last week The Hanger Bar and Grill posted that they will host thier Thunder on the Runway event on the same day as ours, Thunder on the Runway is a large event that brings in a big crowd with much of the same things we had planned including a Bike Show so we are going to make some adjustment with the Birthday Bash to just a few things that we had planned for earlier in the day, The date stays the same, times may change just a bit. we will still have the games, Pit Bike Racing, DJ and guest invitations so keep watching for the new flyer coming soon!

Why Motorcycle clubs aren’t gangs.

Let’s set the record straight. There’s a big difference between gang mentality and motorcycle club mentality. The media, law enforcement, and the general public tend to throw the word “gang” around too loosely when talking about motorcycle clubs, especially outlaw or 1%er clubs. But clubs aren’t gangs, and that label isn’t just inaccurate—it’s flat-out insulting to men who’ve built their lives around honor, tradition, and structure. A gang operates on fear and impulse. A motorcycle club operates on discipline, hierarchy, and loyalty earned through hard miles and harder lessons.

In the criminal justice world, the FBI defines a gang as a group of three or more people who engage in criminal activity as their primary function, often with no formal structure or code beyond fear and survival. Gang life is reactive. It’s about quick money, power grabs, and self-preservation. Motorcycle clubs, especially well-established ones, are built on bylaws, traditions, and a rigid chain of command. They don’t hand out respect. They demand it through earned trust, years of service, and commitment to something bigger than themselves. Even 1%er clubs, which the media loves to demonize, maintain internal codes of conduct, mandatory meetings, community involvement, and strict protocols on behavior.

A lot of folks don’t see the charity events, the funeral escorts, or the countless hours clubs spend giving back to the same communities that call them “gangs.” What they see are headlines. If one member gets into trouble, the whole club gets labeled. But if a banker commits fraud, we don’t call it a “banking gang.” That double standard is why MCs take the “gang” label as a slap in the face. Clubs aren’t built around crime. They’re built around culture. Brotherhood, respect, history. These are things that can’t be bought or faked. You prospect for it. You bleed for it. You sacrifice for it.

So the next time someone casually refers to a motorcycle club as a gang, correct them. Let them know that the cut on a man’s back represents more than fear. It represents family. The patch is earned, not given. And whether you’re talking about a traditional riding club or a 1%er organization, understand this. Clubs build men up with structure and respect. Gangs tear men down with chaos and fear. There’s a difference, and in this world, that difference means everything.

Ride Hard. Stay True.
