🐶Adoptable Otter went on a Dog Day Out adventure with Kate, and here is his pupdate:
Otter and I got out for a super fun trail adventure together! This kiddo is just a year old, and 42lbs. He’s sweet, with silky fur and gorgeous brown eyes! Otter hasn’t had the best luck in his young life, spending most of it bouncing around shelters, but he’s been fortunate to find so many amazing shelter and rescue friends to be sure he stays joyful and trusting of humans.
The truth is that Otter doesn’t ‘show’ well at the shelter. He’s a bit anxious and excited in that environment, and who can blame him? He’s ready to be home already! But the best-kept secret about Otter is that once you get him out and about he is the most fantastic boy! He loves people, other pups, and if you’re looking for your next adventure dog, look no further! I hooked him up to my waist leash, and we went for a trail run like we’ve been doing it together forever! He was attuned to my speed and movements and well-focused. He gets excited about small critters, but is easily redirected back to the trail.
Otter is a dog that would do best in an active home—whatever you like to do, he’s ready to join—running, hiking, biking, skiing; he’ll be right by your side and really benefit from stretching those long legs of his!
Otter comes with continued complimentary professional training to help him continue becoming the best boy in his furever home. Let’s make MCPAWS the last stop for Otter where he finds his people. This boy is going to absolutely flourish with love, patience, consistency, and activity!
