McCall Ski Heritage Foundation Preserving and protecting the local ski history and culture of McCall, Idaho. The McCall Ski Heritage Foundation is a 501(C)3 IRS charitable organization.

MISSION
The purpose of the McCall Ski Heritage Foundation® is to preserve, protect and perpetuate local Alpine and Nordic Ski History and culture in the McCall area. We are working toward a permanent, modern, interactive museum to highlight our rich ski history and the winter culture. To bring the museum to life, we have hired one of America’s most experienced museum design firms, Unrivaled. This

museum will be a celebration of McCall’s people, history, culture, and community, while also representing our healthy and accessible outdoor lifestyle. The museum will be established in the forthcoming Ponderosa Center on East Lake Street, a contemporary and inviting community gathering place in downtown McCall. (Note: The Ponderosa Center and the McCall Ski Heritage Foundation are separate financial entities with different fundraising campaigns and goals.)

Donor Spotlight with Judy Meyer
"My dad, Lloyd Johnson, was named the “World’s Smallest Ski Jumper” when he was 7 years old at the first Winter Carnival. Growing up in McCall, skiing was our life. He had me on skis between his legs practically before I could walk. Brown's Lumber supplied a bus that took us after school to The Little Ski Hill. We would side step the hill from the bottom to the top to pack the snow. McCall is and always will be a ski town.

I'm so grateful for the work that The McCall Ski Heritage Foundation is doing toward a future ski museum. I’ve been supporting them for years because I believe that preserving McCall's ski history is so important -- it should never be forgotten. Please join me in supporting them during Idaho Gives!"

It’s go time! Idaho Gives is here until Thursday, May 7! We’re proud to join this state-wide fundraising event to bring awareness to Idaho nonprofits.

This year, we’re raising funds toward a virtual exhibit that spotlights a single, compelling story from McCall’s rich ski history. As we work toward creating our future ski history museum, this exhibit will give a “sneak peek” of the fun and interesting stories to come!
