Such a strong start to our Housing Roundtable Series today—thank you to everyone who showed up and contributed to the conversation!

We’re back tomorrow for Day 2 of 3 in Cascade (or on Zoom) from 11:30 AM – 1:00 PM. After diving into updated regional housing data today, we’ll shift into the housing development process tomorrow and concluding with housing solutions on Friday.

One of the best parts so far has been the mix of perspectives in the room—engaged, thoughtful, and genuinely invested in our communities and coming from different, but all important perspectives.

What a helpful thing for our beloved seniors and community members needing tax filing advice! Help available March 20 and 21! Check out the flyer for more information on how to utilize this free resource.

Free Tax Filing Help is Available in McCall Friday 3/20 2pm-7pm and Saturday 3/21 9am - 12pm

Tax Day (April 15) will be here before you know it! The Boise State University Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program is offering FREE tax preparation services at the McCall Senior Center for qualifying taxpayers.

Do you qualify for free services?

You may qualify if you have:

• Annual individual or family income of $69,000 or less
• A self-employed cash-based business with expenses under $25,000 and no depreciable assets
• Unfiled tax returns from previous years
• A return that needs to be amended

Yes — you likely qualify!

Please note:

• We do not prepare returns for taxpayers filing Married Filing Separately
• If you do not bring all required tax documents, we will not be able to complete your tax return

Congratulations to our friends at Cascade Medical Center for this Idaho Rural award honoring their inginuity and high-quality healthcare in our region! We are thankful that each of our four communities now has a clinic, urgent care, hospital, and/or additional services available to best treat our residents and visitors. CMC not only now has a new Donnelly Clinic, but just this week opened their Donnelly Physical Therapy clinic as well! They also are expanding transportation assistance for their patients to get from point A to point B as easily as possible. Way to go, Cascade Medical Center. Keep up the great work and innovation to continue to expand healthcare access in the West Central Mountains.

CMC is the 2025 Idaho Rural Health Innovator of the Year! Thanks to County Commissioner Sherry Maupin for nominating us. We were recognized for use of InstyMeds (Rx vending machine) in our Donnelly Urgent Care clinic, operating a free patient transportation service, addressing resiliency through play therapy for children, and our new designation as a Rural Emergency Hospital. I'm so proud of our amazing team for their determination and creativity, and for proving that small hospitals can do great things!
