Wits Workout was created by the University of Illinois Extension, based on the research that intellectual challenge and social connectedness are two of several factors that contribute to brain health throughout life, Wits Workout has two main goals—to provide purposeful opportunities for older adults to engage intellectually, and to increase their socialization through ongoing group participation. Please join FCS Educator and Alzheimer's Association Community Educator, Tracey Perry, at the Events & Activities, the Herbert Wescoat Memorial Library on Tuesday, Sept. 15 at 10:00 a.m. for this FREE educational opportunity to learn about the 10 Warning Signs of Alzheimer's. During this 2 hour event, you will learn typical age-related memory, thinking or behavior changes and recognize warning signs of Alzheimer's and dementia as well as resources available to individuals and families.

For those who have been walking with me at the track and for anyone who has the desire to start walking and needs a partner and/or motivation, join me tomorrow, August 12th at the Wyman Park to walk the paved path from 8:30-9:30am, weather permitting. We will walk every Wednesday morning until the end of October, hope to see you there!
