As our year comes to an end and we elect new officers, I would like to announce Comrade Chuck Boyer as the Post Commander for the upcoming year of 2019-2020. He won't take office until after the State Convention June 16th. I would like for everyone to give him your full support as you did for me. It's been a great year and I hope it continues on with him and his officers in helping our Veterans, their families, and the community.

On behalf of VFW Memorial Post 5299, I would personally like to thank the students and staff at West Elementary, Central Elementary, VC Middle and High schools for their programs yesterday and today to help remember Veteran's Day. Thank you so much for your hospitality! It was great to see all the smiles and appreciation for our military personnel: past, and present.
