Sorry my page has been a little slow, but with my senior year and STC finals, recitals and projects due, it's been a busy month!! I am excited to say that I am working on submitting my final report for my Gold Award Project on the GoGold Girl Scout website! Wish me luck!

Thank you to everyone who came out to my final event at the McAllen Nature Center! I've had such a great time on this wonderful journey and learned so much. This isn't the end of Go Out & Get Native - A Girl Scout Gold Award Project ! I'll still post more informational things on my page, and after the summer, the patch program will be avaiable at the Girl Scout office.

Good morning, I have had a lot of questions about whether or not Girl Scouts can earn the exclusive Go Out and Get Native program patch today.
If any of these apply to you, here is the answer:
- My Girl Scout attended the March 21st event, Go Out and Get Native at MPL and finished the worksheet, aside from today's hike requirements. If yes, she may receive the GOGN program patch today.
- My Girl Scout attended the March 21st event, Go Out and Get Native at MPL, but DID NOT complete the worksheet. If yes, she may continue to work on the program patch requirements and request the patch once finished at the GSGST office after the summer.
- My Girl Scout DID NOT attend the March 21st event, Go Out and Get Native at MPL , then she can start with today's hike, work on the program patch requirements, and request the patch once finished at the GSGST office after the summer.

Meet Gold Award Girl Scout Stella! 🏅 Stella recognized that invasive plants are moved by human actions. She educated her community on native and invasive species by creating a Tree Walk at Gentile Park in Kettering. Six different native trees are marked with a sign and QR code with information on native trees and our ecosystem. To broaden the impact of her project on the local community, Stella also worked with Sunwatch Indian Village in leading volunteers to restore a native prairie by clearing invasive plants and allowing the area to thrive for pollinators. 🌻💚Congratulations on earning your Gold Award, Stella!
