🐾 Why We Do Not Operate a Networking Page 🐾
We are a small, volunteer-run organization with limited time, staffing, and funding. Because of this, we must focus our efforts on the programs our community heavily depends upon - education, community clinics, and pet retention
Operating a networking page responsibly is extremely time consuming, and we do not have the resources to manage one ethically and effectively.

🐾 Rescue Networking
We do not transfer animals and do not maintain a trusted rescue transfer network. We do not believe it is responsible to network animals for rescue when we cannot directly verify legitimate placement opportunities.
🐾 Adoption Networking
When we adopt animals out, we do so legally and ethically. Animals must be fully vetted, altered, trained, and meet our adoption requirements before placement.
We cannot responsibly speak on the health, behavior, or temperament of animals that have never entered our care, and we will never compromise public safety by placing animals without proper evaluation and disclosure.
🐾 Our Concerns
We have observed that many organizations use networking pages as “intake diversion” instead of actually providing refuge for animals.
Many communities now have large networking groups where countless people are trying to surrender or rehome animals, while very few legitimate rescues or adopters are actually stepping forward to help.
While organizations may receive grant funding for these diversion programs, the pages themselves often do not provide meaningful or viable solutions for the community or the animals involved.
For all of these reasons, we cannot accommodate the multiple requests we receive for networking assistance.

We believe our responsibility is to focus on the services we CAN provide responsibly, ethically, and effectively — not simply create the appearance of help.
