We are pleased to announce that BCFS Health and Human Services President, Rosa Báez has been appointed to the Board of Directors for ABC of Southwest Texas, a nonprofit that serves families who have a child or youth with a chronic illness or special need.

Since 1982, ABC of Southwest Texas has provided families of Bexar County and surrounding areas with free comprehensive support including navigation and care coordination, evidence-based parent education, and community support programs. The organization supports more than 9,000 people each year, changing the lives of thousands who would have struggled without the extra care that ABC of Southwest Texas provides.

Rosa Báez, CPM, LCPAA, LCCA brings significant expertise in operations, compliance, and organizational excellence in the areas of health and social services. Known for her dedication to accountability and creating systems that support children, youth and families, Rosa’s leadership experience will play a key role in strengthening ABC’s infrastructure and long-term sustainability.

We are looking to fill our Advocate Supervisor position.

Location: McAllen, TX

Status: Full-Time

Education: Required – Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited program/institution in one of the following areas: social work, psychology, criminal justice, sociology, or related field of study
Preferred - Graduate degree from an accredited program/institution in one of the following areas: social work, psychology, criminal justice, sociology, or related field of study

Experience: Required – Bachelor’s Degree and 5 years related experience and/or training, including progressive employment experience working with children and/or young adults with complex trauma histories, and supervisory experience, OR Master’s Degree and 2 years related experience and/or training, including progressive employment experience working with children and/or young adults with complex trauma histories, and supervisory experience

Bilingual Spanish/English required.

Preferred – LMSW, LCSW, LPC or related license. Experience working with victims and/or survivors of human trafficking.

Summary: The program supervisor acts as a liaison with available placement and service resources for children and their families/sponsors and ensures that each supervisee is following the agency policies and procedures and established state and federal standards and requirements.
