🍎 Free for children ages 18 and younger, as well as enrolled students with disabilities up to age 21
🏫 You don’t have to attend STISD to participate.
🕓 Monday–Thursday | 4–4:30 p.m.

Forty-nine years ago, Rosie Jimenez lost her life because she could not access safe abortion care. Rosie was a 27-year-old Chicana mother from the Rio Grande Valley who died because Medicaid would not cover her abortion. She is the first known person to lose their life this way after the passage of the Hype Amendment, which denies insurance coverage of abortion for people enrolled in Medicaid.

We honor her life and legacy in our fight to pass Rosie’s Law in Texas. If passed, Rosie’s Law would ensure that every Texan has access to the full range of contraceptive care and abortion.

Join the Rosie’s Law Coalition on Thursday, October 1 from 6:30 PM - 7:30 PM Central for a conversation with our partners at All* Above All and author Amy Littlefield, who wrote the book, “Killers of Roe: My Investigation into the Mysterious Death of Abortion Rights.”

We’re going to be talking about how we got here and who is harmed by abortion bans. You’ll learn more about Rosie’s Law and how you can be part of the fight to advance this ground-breaking legislation at the Texas Capitol next year. RSVP now at the link in our bio.
