Your DK Baseball 12u boys were back in action this weekend after a nice 2 weeks off. Your DK boys went 4-0 this weekend, putting up a total of 37 runs. It was a great weekend with our defense and batting being almost near perfect. Our pitching led by Jax W, Israel, Leo & Bash shut the opponents down over the weekend. Hats off to them. Now we’ll take a few days off then it’s back to practice.

*We’ll be live tomorrow for the fundraiser of the baseball bat & baseball*

Where to start?
After a rough exit at our World Series in Round Rock in July. We decided to take time off. This past weekend we joined the C&C tournament in McAllen where there was 19 talented 12u teams registered and ready to play for the grand prize. On Sunday we fell into the silver bracket with 7 of the remaining 19 teams.

Game 1: vs Gulf Cost Royals ✅ 13-7
Game 2: vs RGV Vaqueros ✅ 13-1
Game 3: (Championship) vs Owls ✅9-8

What a game this was. Dating back to our early coach pitch (8u) years our games with the Owls were always intense. Always coming down to the wire! And that’s exactly what happened here. Maintaining the lead most of the game, Owls had last at bat due to higher seeding and boy did they battle. We saw our lead getting smaller and smaller, but our defense held strong and got the 3 outs needed to secure us the win with the game ending 9-8 DK.

Your DK boys will be off this week as we start to prepare and get ready for our Portland trip next weekend.
