Lost Creek Trout Club

Lost Creek Trout Club Take a kid fishing! Based out of McAlisterville, Lost Creek Trout Club was founded in 1973 by a bunch of fishermen.

We have two fundraisers every year that the proceeds go towards improvements of our raceway and help to raise our fish. Once a month we hold a meeting every third Monday of the month to discuss different things that have happened between the club and to make fishing a better thing. Each year in the spring, we hold a handicapped fishing derby where handicapped individuals can fish and win prizes. We also donate trout to different organizations that hold their own derby.

Today Ben Crago and I finished installing the bubbler system in the raceway. There are nine diffusers and each one has six twelve inch airstones, These diffusers should take care of a low dissolved oxygen problem in the lower end of the raceway. Cost for the club will be around $3,500.00.

Thursday the 11th we will start to install the new blower system in the raceway. Hopefully it will do the job and add extra oxygen to the water. We also had a nursery inspection last week and we had several fish over 9 inches already!!
