The McAlester Area Arts & Humanities Council will promote the general welfare of the arts in the McAlester Area though the support and encouragement of the resources, activities and talents of the various arts organizations, through educational activities which encourage cultural activities and promote greater knowledge and appreciation of the fine arts, and through the creation of the common foru

Right after the parade, the east end of Choctaw Ave explodes with flavor as the Grillmarks Chuck & Cluck: Steak Festival fires up for an afternoon of smoky, mouthwatering competition.

Over 30 elite grilling teams will battle it out for bragging rights and the title of Grand Champion, filling the air with the irresistible aroma of steaks, chicken, and pure culinary glory.

🎤 Open Mic Night is happening this Friday! 🌟
Join your friends at Spaceship Earth Coffee Co., at 345 E Choctaw Ave in downtown McAlester this Friday night, March 6th, for an evening of creativity, community, and great coffee and drinks. The mic opens at 7 PM, and all ages are welcome to participate --singers, musicians, poets, storytellers, comedians, and anyone who wants to share their voice.

It’s a warm, welcoming space to cheer on local talent, try something new, or just enjoy the vibe of a lively downtown Friday night. Grab your favorite drink, settle in, and be part of a night that celebrates the arts right here at home.
