FLAG BURNING CEREMONY - Monday, October 12th.

This box sits out front of the Mazon American Legion. Does everyone know what it is for? It’s for the community to place their retired American Flags into so that they can be destroyed correctly and respectfully.

The Mazon American Legion (along with assitance of the Mazon Fire Department) will be hosting a flag burning ceremony along with an open house, Monday October 12th.

The event will begin at 5pm and is free to attend. There will be short ceremony, r***e salute, and taps beforehand with the flag burning to follow.

After the ceremony there will be an open house at the Legion including refreshments. Come out and support your local American Legion and our Veterans!
