Sometimes we find ourselves in situations where we wonder, “God, where are You?”

Daniel was thrown into the lions’ den, but God had not abandoned him. The lions were still there, but God shut their mouths.

Sometimes God doesn’t remove the situation. Sometimes He shows us that He has been protecting us in the middle of it.

You may not always see what God is doing, but that doesn’t mean He isn’t working.

God was there the whole time.

Romans 5:1 reminds us that our peace with God isn’t something we earn. It comes through faith in Jesus Christ.

Because of what Christ has done, we have been justified by faith. That means we can stand before God, not because we got everything right, but because Jesus did.

Faith isn’t about pretending we’re perfect. It’s trusting in the finished work of Christ.

We have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. 🙏🏾

No matter the season, God is worthy of our praise.

We praise Him when things are going well, and we praise Him when life doesn’t make sense. We praise Him when doors open, and we praise Him while we’re still waiting. Our praise isn’t based on our circumstances. It’s based on who God is.

“From the rising of the sun to its setting, the name of the Lord is to be praised!”
Psalm 113:3 ESV

From morning to evening, in good times and difficult times, God is still worthy of the praise. 🙌🏾

It’s easy to see what’s wrong with someone else. Their mistakes. Their attitude. Their shortcomings.

But Jesus challenges us to look inward first.

Matthew 7:3 isn’t telling us to ignore sin or never correct one another. It’s warning us against hypocrisy. Before I point out the speck in someone else’s eye, I need to be willing to examine the log in my own.

Sometimes the person who needs correction first is the one looking back at us in the mirror.

Grace for others. Honesty about ourselves.
