“A Sisterhood Called to Serve: Transforming Lives, Impacting Communities.” With our National theme at the forefront of our efforts, our goals are to expand our program offerings to our communities; enhance our partnerships and grow our sponsorship with local businesses; collaborate with local community groups and service-oriented organizations and; expand our media relationship to raise awareness and increase participation in our public service events. Currently, GEAAC has a membership of nearly 300 college educated women dedicated to public service. The hardworking Sisters of GEAAC work diligently to Move Delta Ahead and we remain steadfast in our commitment to provide IMPACTFUL and INSPIRING programs and events to uplift our communities. In 1996, the Minerva Educational Foundation (MEF) was established as the nonprofit entity for GEAAC. The purpose of the foundation was to organize and administer educational programs for young people; to conduct seminars and programs that provide cultural, social and educational enrichment for youth, especially in the African American Community. Since its inception, MEF has awarded more than a quarter of a million dollars in scholarships and book awards.
