Maywood Proviso Rotary Club

Maywood Proviso Rotary Club The Maywood Rotary Club was established in 1924. The Maywood Proviso Rotary Club is one of the oldest public service organizations in the Western Suburbs.

Since its inception 98 years ago, the club has been active in demonstrating "Service above Self" through the careful selection of prioritized community and international projects. We meet each Thursday, 12:15 p.m., at Meal of the Day Cafe, 1701 S. 1st Ave. (Suite 410), in Maywood, Illinois.

Today members of the Maywood-Proviso Rotary Club assisted in setting up for the Juneteenth Celebrations at the West Town Museum. The Guest Speaker His Royal Majesty Togbi Nyaho Tamakloe VI Miafiaga of Anlo Kingdom Volta Region Ghana spoke on atonement, repair and restoration.

Hey there! Are you a high school graduate looking to continue your education in college? The Maywood Proviso Rotary Club wants to recognize your hard work and dedication by supporting your journey. Our scholarship committee is looking for outstanding individuals who have positively impacted their communities and the people in the Proviso Township Area. We celebrate exceptional men and women who make a difference! That could be you! Take advantage of this fantastic opportunity and apply now to showcase your achievements. We can't wait to hear from you!

To qualify for the scholarships, The student should also actively participate in extracurricular activities, such as sports, music, drama, or volunteer work, and demonstrate leadership skills within their community. This could be through initiatives such as organizing charity events, leading community service projects, or mentoring younger students.

The scholarship committee will also consider the candidate's character and personal qualities, including their work ethic, integrity, and responsibility. The student should have consistently fulfilled their duties in and out of school and inspired others around them.

The scholarship award varies based on the availability of funds. The recipients should electronically submit their scholarship application by May 20, 2024.
