✨ Celebrating the Feast of Pope St. John Paul II! 🙏

A few things to know about him:
Born Karol Wojtyła; elected pope in 1978 — the first non-Italian pope in 400+ years
Loved young people — took them hiking and skiing, with Mass and theology along the way
Founded World Youth Day (and is its patron saint)
Traveled to 129+ countries in his nearly 30-year papacy
Helped bring down communism in his native Poland
Canonized in 2014 by Pope Francis

“Be not afraid.” Pope St. John Paul II, pray for us! 🌹

✝️ Verse of the Week

“Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord; let it be done to me according to your word.” — Luke 1:38 🌹

In this Month of the Rosary, we remember Mary’s “yes” — her trust in God’s plan. A beautiful reminder for all of us this week.

Meet Ms. Jennifer! 🍎

Our 4K aide on Tuesdays and Fridays — she joined the St. Mary family last spring in our 3K room.

What she loves about St. Mary: "The staff here really care — that's a great thing to be part of."

The best part of her day? "Watching the students gain independence and seeing the pride and confidence in their faces."

Outside of school, Jennifer is a reader and museum-lover — and you might just find her at a Renaissance faire. 🏰

A verse close to her heart: "Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends." (John 15:13)

We're so grateful to have Ms. Jennifer with our littlest learners. 💙

Over in Lomira, our students have a new favorite tradition — finding the little Jesus figures tucked around the school! 👀

It's a small, joyful reminder of something big: Jesus is always with us, in every corner of our day — sometimes we just have to look for Him. We love watching their faces light up when they spot Him. ✝️

Keep your eyes open, St. Mary family — you never know where Jesus will turn up! 💛

Our 4th and 5th graders in Lomira created this beautiful Month of the Holy Rosary display — a reminder of what this season is all about. Praying the rosary is simply walking through the life of Jesus with Mary beside us. We're so proud of their work and their faith. 🌹

In our Month of the Rosary, we remember the angel Gabriel's words to Mary — the very prayer we echo in every Hail Mary. A beautiful verse to carry through your week.

Tomorrow we'll show you the display behind the verse in this photo that our very own 4th and 5th graders created in Lomira.🌹

⭐ Staff Spotlight: Mariah Frane!

Meet Mariah Frane — new to the St. Mary family this year! 🍎 Our 3K teacher, and already right at home.

What brought her here: "The moment I met the staff at St. Mary, I felt like I'd fit right in. I already had connections in the Mayville community, so finding an opportunity here was exciting. I absolutely love teaching 3K and being part of their very first school experiences."

Her favorite moments so far? Walking to church with her little learners and watching them look up at Father with curiosity — plus our Friday music assemblies. 🎶

Mariah meets each learner where they are through play, hands-on experiences, and strong relationships.

Outside school: cooking, baking, family and friends, audiobooks, and working out.

A verse close to her heart: "Gracious words are a honeycomb, sweet to the soul and healing to the bones." (Proverbs 16:24)

Drop a 💛 to help us welcome, Mariah — we're so glad you're part of St. Mary!

🚒 Thank you, Mayville Fire Department!

Yesterday our students got a special visit from our local Mayville firefighters — and what a treat it was! The kids got an up-close look at the truck and gear, learned how to stay safe, and asked plenty of great questions. 🧯

The timing was perfect for Fire Prevention Week — a great reminder to talk fire safety at home, too. (Quick one for the dinner table: does your family know your meeting spot?)

A big thank-you to the brave men and women who keep our community safe — and who took the time to share it all with our students. We’re grateful! 💙

🌹 October is the Month of the Rosary

Today is the feast of Our Lady of the Rosary — a good day to remember the gift Mary gives us. Praying the rosary is simply walking through the life of Jesus with his mother beside us. This month, we invite our St. Mary families to pray together — even one decade is a beautiful start. 🙏
