Residents who have mailboxes on Shay Lake Rd at Arden Park Dr received a notice this week (see below).

I reached out to Brent Dankert and the following was his response. Hopefully, this will put everyone at ease.

"Kim,
I wanted to follow up with you now that I am back. There is nothing out of "Spec" associated with the asphalt work on Shay Lake. The shoulder gravel just hasn't been placed yet. We have added it to the work que and it will be taken care of early next week.

"Thanks for all your patience and understanding during the project on the Shay Lake Bridge."

Shay lake halloween party is this weekend..At the pavilion 4:00 Saturday..Family fun, best dressed costume for adults and children, best golf cart decorations, a few games, candy and more.. This is a free event but donations are accepted.. Hope to see you there.

Shay lake bridge is closing now. The following is from Brent Dankert:

They're basing it and have to wait for it to cool. They may only do the base work today and come back and top tomorrow Not sure, it could extend into tomorrow or they'll get it all done today by early afternoon
