The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office Unsolved Cases Team has been investigating the May 18, 1988 murder of Kathy Wilson since 2022. Two suspects were originally charged for Kathy Wilson’s murder in 1989. One suspect was acquitted of murder charges by a Warren County Pennsylvania Jury, and all charges against the second suspect were dismissed by the Warren County District Attorney’s Office. The case has now been unsolved for 37 years.

At this point, we are pursuing additional leads and suspect evidence unrelated to the previous arrests.

If you had information about this case involving suspect(s) other than the two individuals charged in Warren County in 1989, but never came forward because of those arrests, we ask that you now contact the Sheriff’s Office Unsolved Cases team with your information. All new information will be investigated by the Sheriff’s Office and will remain confidential.

Maki Baker, Buffalo WKBW, updated a report on the Kathy Wilson Case today. Here is the link. https://www.wkbw.com/news/local-news/who-killed-kathy-wilson-the-mother-of-3-disappeared-nearly-40-years-ago

Maki makes a statement about the location where Kathy's remains were found. It is a critical theory. The person(s) responsible for Kathy had to have an intimate knowledge of the Lindell Road area. It is not an area for acidental tourists. Keep this in mind. Rethink what you may know but have never told anyone. Now is the time to follow-up the new leads that ended at Lindell Road in Lander.

Now is the time for Justice for Kathy. Speak up. All leads will be held confidential.

Voices of the Voiceless: Join Ed Drantch and Maki Becker as we discuss the mystery behind Kathy Wilson, a 33-year-old mother of three from Jamestown, New York, who went missing in 1988.

For all those following the Patty Fairbanks Murder investigation, The Chautauqua County Sheriff released the following statement today to the Unsolved Chautauqua group.

On November 28th, 1972, 14 year old Patty Fairbanks went missing from West 9th St. in Jamestown, NY. Patty was found on December 29th, 1972 just yards away from her home. The case was re-opened in March of 2023 and assigned to the Chautauqua County Sheriff's Unsolved Crimes team. The team, after further investigation of the entire files and many interviews, determined there is currently little evidence to suggest the property owner where Patty's body was found, Harley Monroe, now deceased, was involved in the murder. Harley Monroe is no longer a focus of the investigation.

This Thanksgiving day will be the 52 anniversary of Patty's disappearance. If you know any information about this case, please contact this website or the Unsolved Chautauqua Homicide Team.
