Please help this mom of twins that chose life.
We met Mama “F” while ministering outside the abortion clinic on a surgical abortion day. She had driven in from another state with a friend and planned to go through with an abortion of her twins—a little boy and a little girl who are due February 15th.
Mama was ultimately turned away because she was two days past the cutoff for that particular abortion mill at 16 weeks and 2 days pregnant.
When I was able to speak with her she was visibly upset, and we were able to talk for a little while before she left. I gave her one of our ministry tracts with my phone number on it and after she made it home she reached out to me. We have stayed in contact ever since.
Mama “F” has a lot going on in her life right now as the father of the babies will be out of the picture for some time. This leaves much of the responsibility on her as she prepares to care for the twins along with her three little boys who are 1, 5 and 7 years old.
She does have some help with childcare and is currently working full time, but right now she is $600 short on her rent. Her rent is $1,900 and she has been able to come up with $1,300 of it. This is an immediate need and we need to get the remaining $600 paid as soon as possible so that Mama and her children are not facing eviction.
We are seeking to raise that remaining $600 as quickly as we can and would also like to continue helping her along the way as she prepares for the arrival of the twins. There will be many things she needs over the coming months and our hope is to be able to come alongside her and help meet some of those needs.
Our ministry outside the abortion mill is about more than simply pleading for the lives of babies who are being led to death. We are there to point mothers and fathers to Christ and proclaim the hope of the Gospel while also being willing to walk alongside families and help carry the burdens that we are able to carry.
We don't want to simply tell a mother to choose life and then disappear. We want to be there afterward and show through our actions that we truly mean what we say when we offer to help, while continuing to use every opportunity the Lord gives us to point her to Christ and the hope that is found in Him alone.
