Meet the 2026 Leadership Horizons Class!

Our next class member to introduce is McKinley Hoffmann

McKinley is a Process Engineer at International Paper’s Maysville Mill. Originally from a suburb of Columbus, Ohio, McKinley attended the University of Alabama, where she studied Chemical Engineering and German.
While at the University of Alabama, McKinley completed three co-op rotations with International Paper in Selma, Alabama, and studied abroad in Hamburg, Germany. After graduating in 2025, McKinley joined International Paper’s Maysville Mill as a Process Engineer. At the mill, McKinley is a member of the Engagement Team and is working toward FLL certification.
Outside of work, McKinley enjoys baking, reading, and taking long walks with her fiancée.

2026 Leadership Horizons Class 🌟

This week’s introduction from the class is Steven Clint Moore!

Steven has been employed with STOBER Drives, Inc. for the past eight years and currently serves as Quality Lab Team Leader. In this role, he leads a team of three and works to ensure excellence in production standards.

A lifelong resident of the region, Steven has lived in the area for 49 years and currently calls Tollesboro home.

Outside of work, Steven enjoys spending time with his wife, Rebecca, walking their dog, Louie, and playing and learning guitar.

2026 Leadership Horizons Class
This week in our meet the class series we’d like to introduce Haley Allen
Haley serves as the Workforce Assistant Director with the TENCO Workforce Development Board at Buffalo Trace Area Development District. Through her role, she has developed a strong passion for serving her community and working alongside local businesses and community partners throughout the TENCO region to meet the workforce needs of both individuals and employers.
Haley and the TENCO/Kentucky Career Center team help build the future workforce by connecting individuals with the education, training, and experience they need to build meaningful careers. Her work includes supporting education and training opportunities, subsidized employment, and partnerships with local businesses to strengthen recruitment, address workforce gaps, and improve employee retention.
Haley graduated from Maysville Community and Technical College with an Associate in Applied Science degree and began her career in Human Resources at just 18 years old. With the guidance of great mentors and opportunities to grow, she has worked her way into workforce leadership. These experiences have shaped her passion for helping others find opportunities, enter the workforce, and build careers they can be proud of.
Outside of work, Haley enjoys life on the farm with her animals, building hot rods with her husband, and growing in her faith and relationship with Jesus.

Next up for this week in our meet the 2026 Leadership Horizons Class series we have Heather Wheeler!

Heather is the Programming Coordinator at Mason County Public Library, where she has worked for the past five years creating engaging programs and events for the community.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in Human Services and Counseling and is passionate about developing meaningful library experiences that connect people of all ages.
Outside of the library, Heather is a proud single mother to her daughter, Katherine, who is a sophomore at Eastern Kentucky University pursuing a degree in Museum Studies with double minors in Veteran Studies and Appalachian Studies.
In her free time, Heather enjoys reading, quilting, and cooking.

Over the next several weeks, we’ll be introducing you to the 2026 Leadership Horizons Class!

This week, meet Madison Hord!

Madison is the proud owner of Cafe Cream and Mylo’s, where she has spent nearly a decade building businesses focused on serving customers and bringing people together in the community.
A graduate of Mason County High School and the University of Kentucky, where she earned her bachelor’s degree, Madison is passionate about entrepreneurship and giving back to the community she calls home.
Outside of work, Madison enjoys golfing, playing pickleball, and staying actively involved in local organizations and volunteer opportunities, including the CASA volunteer program. She and her husband, Lyle, enjoy life on their farm with their three dogs.
In 2025, Madison was honored with the Best Small Business Award, an achievement she is especially proud of. She is grateful for the continued support of her community and looks forward to continuing to serve, grow, and give back for many years to come.

Congratulations to our 2025-2026 graduates! This years class took on a few new adventures. We enacted a leadership course component, added agritourism and a class project!

The 2025-2026 Leadership Horizons class project wrapped up this week! They were able to make donations to CASA, Ion Center and the Buffalo Trace Homeless Coalition! Thank you to everyone who donated and helped make this project a success!

We couldn’t have asked for better weather for our Agritourism Day!!! Thank you to the Loving Farm, Mt Lawley Farm, Springcreek Farm, Seleece’s Baking Co. LLC and the Mason County Extension Office for being part of our day!!!
